The adhesive must exhibit elasticity, flexibility after curing, and be resistant to deterioration due to exposure to hot water and detergent compositions. Preferably, the adhesive after curing softens somewhat at the temperature of the hot water so as to increase the flexibility of the article of the invention during use. For example, thermoplastic materials with a glass transition temperature of less than 50C, preferably less than 400C, especially less than 30C are preferred. Particularly preferred adhesives are vinyl acetate homopolymers and copolymers and thermoplastic acrylic polymers. Good results have also been obtained using polyvinyl acetate, polybutyl methacrylate and styrene/butyl methacrylate copolymers. A specific example of a preferable material is Vinyl Product.

In a second preferred embodiment of the invention, both supports are abrasive, but one support layer carries a more abrasive agent than the other support layer. In use, the more abrasive side is used first to remove dirt from the surface to be cleaned, and the more gently abrasive side is used to complete the cleaning operation.

Screen printing can be used to print adhesives and abrasives into any desired number of turns, such as multiple mutually parallel discontinuous lines, zigzag nine turns (broken weave), etc.
It can be easily deposited according to a pattern such as a pattern (puffern) or a grid of a plurality of intersecting continuous lines. The line thickness of the /♀ turns can be varied to obtain different abrasiveness by using different sized printer screens.

If screen printing is used, it may be necessary to add a thickener to the adhesive/abrasive dispersion to obtain a sufficiently thick slurry. Suitable materials include, for example, polyvinyl alcohol, carboxymethylcellulose, xanthan gum and gum arabic. Preferred thickeners include, for example, A11ied Co11oid
There is Viscalex (trademark) HV 30 manufactured by S. Advantageously, the dispersion furthermore contains colored pigments so that a visually appealing print pattern is obtained.

When the abrasive is applied by screen printing, the maximum usable effective particle size of the abrasive has been found to be about 250 μm. Larger particles will be separated from door to door by the hublinting screen. However, polymer abrasives undergo a certain amount of agglomeration during the printing process, so that after printing, particles (agglomerates) much larger than the above particle size can be present on the surface of the support and emitted while receiving the particles. It is characterized by being composed of a surfactant in a form that can be used as a surfactant and a highly absorbent substance.

Controlled release of the surfactant can be achieved by entrapping the surfactant within a solid carrier material such as a matrix of polymerized products of hydroxyalkyl esters of alpha, beta unsaturated carboxylic acids. achieved. The carrier material may carry a relatively large amount of surfactant and, while being wetted, may release the surfactant only upon physical stimulation, such as vigorous digging or scraping.

Since surfactants tend to foam when wet, excessive foam can be generated while rinsing the product and therefore problems can arise when using the product to mop up moisture from wiped surfaces. . Although this problem can be alleviated to an extent by using nonionic surfactants rather than antiionic surfactants, a modest amount of foam can still occur.

19.9 Polyhydroxy◇20 Pisile methacrylate 44,7 Benzoyl peroxide (containing 25% water) 0.6 The first three components were mixed and deoxidized by bubbling nitrogen. Benzoyl peroxide was then added and dissolved by shaking, and the mixture was left under nitrogen for 24 hours. The resulting mass was crushed into coarse and small pieces, and these pieces were cooled with liquid nitrogen, crushed in a hammer mill, and then passed through a tube to obtain material with a particle size of 710-1000 microns.
