Conventionally, when cultivating melons, as shown in Figure 1, posts 3, 3... were erected vertically in the field and melon vines 4 were grown along the posts 3, and watermelon vines 4 were grown along the posts 3. Similarly, there are some that are grown on the ground, and in the case of the former, melon fruit 5
was supported on the side of the support column 3.
However, in this case, as the fruit 5 grows and becomes larger, the force of the vines 4 wrapping around the support 3 cannot support the gravity of the fruit 5, so it is necessary to tie each fruit 5 to the support 3 with a string 6. For melon cultivating farmers, this work required a great deal of effort. Further, in the latter case, there was a problem that the fruit 5 was deformed due to the terrain under the fruit 5, resulting in poor quality.

The present invention was developed in view of the above points, and it is possible to support melon fruits without the need for supporting them with strings, thereby saving labor and effort in cultivation, and producing high-quality fruits. The purpose of this invention is to provide a shelf for cultivating melons.

FIG. 3 shows a cultivation net 2, which is formed of a synthetic resin material into a lattice net shape. The cultivation net 2 is made of a synthetic resin material strong enough to support the weight of hard or semi-hard melons, such as medium-low pressure polyethylene, polypropylene, polyvinyl chloride, ABS, etc. The meshes 7, 7, . . . of the cultivation net 2 may be formed into a regular grid shape as shown in FIG. 3, or may be formed into any shape such as a round shape, a diamond shape, a hexagonal shape, or the like.
The size of the mesh 7 is preferably about 5 to 15 cm. Furthermore, the frame 8 of the mesh 7 of this cultivation net 2 is formed to have a rounded cross-sectional shape, so that when the fruit 5 hangs down from the cultivation net 2, the vines
It is made so that it does not get damaged. For the same reason, when the mesh 7 is formed in a lattice shape, it is preferable to add radiuses 9 to the corners of the mesh 7. Pillar 1
is a steel pipe coated with a resin such as polyvinyl chloride or plated, and is formed into a substantially arch shape. Here, the term "approximately arch-shaped" refers to a shape that includes not only a semicircular arc shape as shown in Figure 4a, but also a flat, approximately U-shaped shape with a downward opening as shown in Figure 4b. Any shape is sufficient as long as it can form a surface on the cultivation net 2 that allows the melons to grow along the cultivation net 2 in the horizontal direction when the cultivation net 2 is attached to the cultivation net 2. Here, if W 1 = 150 to 180 cm for the one in Figure 4 a,
H 1 =about 70 cm, and if W 2 =130 to 200 cm in the case of FIG. 4b, it is preferable to set H 2 =50 to 100 cm.

By burying the lower end of the post 1 in the soil, the post 1 is placed along the ridges 10 of the field as shown in Figures 4a and b.
A shelf for melon cultivation is formed by erecting a plurality of columns at intervals of 50 to 60 cm, for example, as shown in FIG. It is something. The cultivation net 2 can be fixed to the support 1 by any means such as wire or other fixing devices. In cultivating melons, melons are grown on one side of the ridge 10, and the melon vines 4 are grown along the cultivation net 2 toward the other side of the ridge 10. At this time,
As shown in Figure 6, by cutting the center of the frame 8 of the cultivation net 2 here and there with scissors, etc., and letting the vine 4 or stem pass under the frame 8 through the cut opening 12, the vine 4 or stem can be moved sideways. This allows you to trim the branches and secure the stems to prevent them from moving. As the melon fruit 5 grows and gains weight, the fruit 5 hangs down from the mesh 7 of the cultivation net 2 under its own weight as shown in Figure 5a, and in this state, the fruit 5 It grows as shown in Figure 5b. That is,
The fruit 5 is supported by the cultivation net 2 with the vine 4 caught in the frame 8 of the mesh 7 of the cultivation net 2, and the fruit 5 is suspended without the need for any strings. It can be supported in an upright position. In addition, the reason why the size of the mesh 7 of the cultivation net 2 is preferably 5 to 15 cm as mentioned above is that if the mesh 7 is smaller than 5 cm, the fruit 5 that has grown to the point of hanging down due to its own weight will If the size of the mesh 7 is larger than 15 cm, the fruit 5 cannot be hung down through the mesh 7 to the bottom of the cultivation net 2, and if the mesh 7 is larger than 15 cm, the vine 4 supported by the frame 8 of the mesh 7 This is because as the distance between the vines 4 and 5 becomes larger, the tendrils 4 within the mesh 7 will bend significantly downward due to the weight of the fruit 5, and the fruit 5 may eventually become unable to be supported. In this way, when cultivating melons on the melon cultivation shelf according to the present invention, it is possible to perform either open cultivation or greenhouse cultivation, and when cultivating melons on this melon cultivation shelf, Outside of Net2,
Disinfectants can be sprayed more easily than on the inside, and disinfection work is easier to perform. In addition, since the upper side of the cultivation net 2 is covered with melon vines 4 and leaves 11, there is a so-called so-called lower part of the cultivation net 2. The greenhouse effect traps heat and has good heat retention, making it suitable for growing melons and particularly reducing fuel costs in greenhouse cultivation. In addition, since melons grow horizontally, the entire melon can be irradiated with sunlight, which is also advantageous for the growth of melons. Furthermore, the cultivation net 2 allows the leaves 11 and stems to be separated from the fruit 5 at the young fruit stage, thereby preventing the fruit 5 from being damaged due to stem displacement, etc., and also preventing the shape of the fruit from deforming. At the same time, it is possible to prevent the fruit 5 from receiving direct sunlight and to make it possible to uniformly color the fruit 5. It also has a sun protection effect. In addition, bees can freely fly around under the cultivation net 2 compared to cultivation on flat land, resulting in a higher pollination effect. In the past, there was a problem that the fruit set in the shade of the stem, making it impossible to find the fruit at harvest time, resulting in poor quality due to overripening.
In the present invention, since the fruit 5 is exposed under the cultivation net 2, this problem can also be solved.

As mentioned above, in the present invention, melons are grown above the cultivation net so that the melon fruit hangs downward from the mesh of the cultivation net. The melon fruit can be supported by hanging it on top, and there is no need to tie strings to support the weight of the fruit, which greatly reduces the labor required for cultivation. It is something. In addition, since the cultivation net is made of a hard or semi-hard synthetic resin material, the cultivation net made of a hard or semi-hard synthetic resin material bends greatly due to the weight of the melon fruit. There is no risk of deformation, and even if the cultivation net is supported by a small number of supports, the cultivation net will not be significantly deformed, and it will not require much effort to assemble the melon cultivation shelf. Furthermore, since a plurality of approximately arch-shaped pillars are erected at predetermined intervals in the field and a cultivation net is attached between the tops of these pillars, the entire length of the cultivation net in the width direction is approximately arch-shaped. This will prevent the center of the cultivation net from sagging downward due to the weight of the melons, and will also prevent the weight of the cultivation net and the melons from being deformed. The weight is borne at both ends of a substantially arch-shaped support erected in the field, and the cultivation net can be firmly supported without fear of the support falling over.
