Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 〔産業上の利用分野〕 本発明は金属加工、特に圧延に有効に用いることができ
る潤滑油で耐ヒートスクラッチ性能にすぐれるとともに
、圧延荷重を低減することができ、しかも光沢性を改良
することのできる潤滑油に関する。
〔従来の技術および発明が解決しようとする問題点〕圧
延油、絞り油、抽伸油、打抜き油、切削油等の全域加工
油には各種性能にすぐれていることが要求されており、
特に圧延油にば■圧延性にすぐれること、換言すれば低
圧延荷重で高圧下率を得ること、■苛酷な条件下でヒー
トスクラッチを生じないこと、■圧延板の光沢が良いこ
と等が要求されている。
従来、このような要求性状を満たす圧延油を得るため、
基油に対して様々なジエステル化合物を配合することが
試みられている。例えば、米国特FIJ3,396,1
11 号明m書にはシラウリυマレエート等低炭素数の
不飽和二塩基酸と高級脂肪酸とのジエステルが開示され
ている。
これらのものは圧延油として用いたとき、上記■、■の
点ではある程度満足しうるものの、■の点ではいずれも
不十分であり、未だ上記■、■。
■のすべての点にわたり良好な性能を発揮する圧延油は
得られていないのが現状である。
本発明は上記■、■、■のすべての点においてすぐれた
潤滑油を提供することを目的とするものである。
〔問題点を解決するための手段〕
すなわち本発明の第一は基油に、分枝鎖を有する炭素数
12〜28の脂肪族ジカルボン酸と炭素a1〜6の直鎖
脂肪族アルコールとの反応生成物であるジエステル0.
5〜30ifl[を配合してなる金属加工用潤滑油を提
供するものである。
また不発明の第二は基油に、分枝鎖を有する炭素数12
〜28の脂肪族ジカルボン酸と炭素数1〜6の直鎖脂肪
族アルコールとの反応生成物で、!ニー)るジエステル
0.5〜30重量%および炭素数13〜48のモノエス
テル0.5〜40重訳チ重訳台してなる金属加工用潤滑
油を提供するものである。
本発明におゆる基油として具体的には鉱油および/また
は合成油を用いる。より具体的には鉱油としてナンテン
系鉱油、中間系鉱油、パラフィン系鉱油の潤滑油留分あ
るいはこれら鉱油類の分解によって得られる高芳香族成
分などを例示することができ、合成油とし”C長鎖アル
キルベンゼン。
分枝アルキルベンゼン、あるいはポリブテンなどのポリ
オレフィン油、アルキルナフタリン、エステル油あるい
はポリグリコール油などを例示することができる。これ
らの中でも40゛Cにおける動粘度が1〜30センチス
トークス(est ) 、特に約5〜20 cstの鉱
油が好ましい。
本発明における第一の発明は上記基油に、分枝鎖を有す
る炭素数12〜28の脂肪族ジカルボン酸と炭素数1〜
6の直鎖脂肪族アルコールとの反応生成物であるジエス
テルを配合してなるものであり、本発明における第二の
発明は、前記ジエステルと炭素数13〜48のモノエス
テルとを基油に配合してなるものである。
ここで分枝鎖な有する炭素数12〜28の脂肪族ジカル
ボン酸は具体的には次の一般式で表わされるものである
。上記一般式(K)において、lは0〜3であり、m、
nはそれぞれ1〜23であり、m+n +lの合Jtは
8〜24である。
上記一般式(1)で表わされる分枝鎖を有する脂肪族ジ
カルボ/fflの炭素数は12〜28、好ましくは14
〜24、より好ましくは16〜20である。
ここで炭素数が12未満のものであると、耐ヒートスク
ラッチ性が悪化するため好ましくない。一方、炭素数が
28を超えたものであると、特に低粘度の基油を用いた
ときに溶解性が悪くなるため好ましくない。また、本発
明においては脂肪族ジカルボン酸として分枝鎖な有する
ものを用いることが必要である。また、脂肪族ジカルボ
ン酸としては飽和、不飽和のものがあるが、特に飽和脂
肪族ジカルボン酸を用いることが好ましい。ここで直鎖
状電相脂肪族ジカルボン酸、直鎖状不飽和脂肪族ジカル
ボン酸を用いると溶解性が悪く、シかも目的とする潤滑
油を得ることはできない。
上記一般式CI)で表わされる分枝鎖を有する脂肪族ジ
カルボン酸として具体的には炭素数20のHooc@(

などを例示することができる。
また、直鎖脂肪族アルコールとしては炭素数1〜6、好
ましくv′i1〜4のものが用〜・られる。
ここで脂肪族アルコールとして分枝のものを用いると、
耐ヒートスクラッチ性能に劣るものとなるため好ましく
ない。また、炭素数が6を超えたものであると、溶解性
が低下するため好ましくない。本発明において用いる直
鎖脂肪族アルコールとして具体的にはCHsOH,Cz
HsOH,n−C3lIyOH,n−Ca H90Hな
どを例示することができる。
本発明においては前記の分岐鎖な有する炭素数12〜2
8の飽和もしくは不飽和の脂肪族ジカルボン酸と、上記
炭素数1〜6の直鎖脂肪族アルコールとを反応させて得
られるジエステルを用いる。
上記の如くして得られるジエステルは、前記基油に0−
5〜30重量%、好ましくは1〜20を量チ、より好ま
しくは3〜15重量%の割合で配合される。
上記ジエステルの配合割合が0.5重量%未満であると
、目的とする潤滑油を得ることはできない。
また、30重量%を超えて配合しても、配合量に見合う
だけの向上効果を得ることはできない。
さらに、本発明の第二においては上記ジエステルととも
に、炭素数13〜48のモノエステルを用いる。このモ
ノエステルを上記ジエステルと共に用いると、ジエステ
ルを単独で用いる場合に比し、一層耐ヒートスクラッチ
性が向上し、圧延荷重が低減でき、しかも光沢性を向上
することができる。しかも、モノエステルを併用するこ
とによりジエステルの使用量を低減できるという効果を
も具有する。
ここで上記モノエステルは具体的には一般弐RCOOR
’で表わされるものである。上記式中においてRは炭素
数12〜22のアルキル基を示し、R′は炭素数1〜2
6のアルキル基を示す。このモノエステルとしては炭素
数13〜48のものを用いることができるが、好ましく
は炭素数13〜36のものである。モノエステルとして
好ましくはCxyHasCOQCHs (メチルステア
レート)。
C1,H3sCOOC41(、(ブチルステアノート)
CxtHssCOOCsHH(オクチルステア1/−ト
)tCHH31COOCaH+y (オクチルパルミテ
ート)などが挙げられ、特に光沢性にすぐれ、しかも入
手性にもすぐれている点でブチルステアレートを用いる
ことが好ましい。
上記モノエステルは0.5〜40重is、好ましくは3
〜30重nチ、より好ましくは5〜20重Mkチの割合
で基油に配合される。
本発明の金属加工用潤滑油は上記成分よりなるものであ
るが、必要に応じて粘度指数改良剤、腐食防止剤、乳化
剤、酸化防止剤、防錆剤などの補助的成分を適宜加える
ことができる。なお、本発明の潤滑油は絞り油8抽伸油
、打抜き油および切削油等の各種金属加工用潤滑油とし
ても有用である、 〔発明の効果〕 本発明の第一の潤滑油は圧延時苛酷な条件下でもヒート
スクラッチとよばれる表面疵が鋼板等に生ずることがな
く、耐ヒートスクラッチ性能にすぐれたものである。
また本発明の第一の潤滑油は低圧延荷重で圧延すること
ができ、圧延性にすぐれたものである。
しかも、本発明の第一の潤滑油を用いて圧延したとき、
光沢の良好な圧延板を得ることができろ。
さらに本発明の第二の潤滑油は一層光沢性が良く、シか
も耐ヒートスクラッチ性能にすぐれたものである。
したがって、本発明は各種金属加工、特に圧延用潤滑油
として有効に用いることができる。
〔発明の実施例〕
次に本発明を実施例により詳しく説明する。
実施例1〜10および比較例1〜6 バラフイン系鉱油(8cst ’cu 40°C)に第
1表に示す二塩基酸エステル、モノエステルを所定割合
(電量チ)配合して潤滑油を調製した。
この潤滑油について、以下に示す方法に℃圧延実験を行
ない、耐ヒートスクラッチ性、圧延荷重の低減効果およ
び光沢性を評価した。結果を第1表に示す。
圧延機 可逆式4段冷間圧延機(第2吉田記念鉄工所i)バック
アラグロール:工35φx20oWmm+1、0μft
max ワークロール=40φ×200Wmm。
0・2μルmaX テストコイル SUS 304ステンレス鋼(焼鈍材)。
0.70X50×1M、519 圧延条件 張力350”9で下表の条件にて行なった。
給油条件 油温40℃、給油量107/1nin +給油圧0.5
”51/cm” lタンク油斂301の条件で、上下ロ
ールへ入側のみの片側循環給油を行なった。
評一方法 峻β 目において一定距離ごとに段階的に板ノlを薄くした場
合のヒートスクラッチを発生しない限界の板厚(限界板
厚)、その時の圧延荷重および光沢性の良否を比較評制
した。なお、ヒートスクラッチの発生の有無は目視判定
した。また、光沢性の良否はJIS Z 8741に従
い、Gs(45°)の村上色彩技術研究所1110M−
24形光度計を用いて測定した光沢度より下表の如くし
て判定した。下表中の光沢度の値は、圧延方向について
表と裏の両面の平均値を示した。
比較例7 市販油入(鉱油に脂肪酸系油剤を重加したもの)を用い
、実施例1と同様にして圧延実験を行なった。結果を第
1表に示す。
比較例8 市販油B(鉱油にアルコール系油剤を添加したもの)を
用い、実施例1と同様にして圧延実験を行なった。結果
を第1表に示す。

Claims (6)

    【特許請求の範囲】
  1. (1)基油に、分枝鎖を有する炭素数12〜28の脂肪
    族ジカルボン酸と炭素数1〜6の直鎖脂肪族アルコール
    との反応生成物であるジエステル0.5〜30重量%を
    配合してなる金属加工用潤滑油。
  2. (2)脂肪族ジカルボン酸が飽和脂肪族ジカルボン酸で
    ある特許請求の範囲第1項記載の潤滑油。
  3. (3)金属加工が圧延である特許請求の範囲第1項また
    は第2項記載の潤滑油。
  4. (4)基油に、分枝鎖を有する炭素数12〜28の脂肪
    族ジカルボン酸と炭素数1〜6の直鎖脂肪族アルコール
    との反応生成物であるジエステル0.5〜30重量%お
    よび炭素数13〜48のモノエステル0.5〜40重量
    %を配合してなる金属加工用潤滑油。
  5. (5)脂肪族ジカルボン酸が飽和脂肪族ジカルボン酸で
    ある特許請求の範囲第4項記載の潤滑油。
  6. (6)金属加工が圧延である特許請求の範囲第4項また
    は第5項記載の潤滑油。
