Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 a1発明の目的 (産業上の利用分野) この発明に係る高周波誘導加熱法による合成樹脂製部品
同士の溶接方法は、各種合成樹脂製部品同士を一体に溶
接固定する場合で、特に溶接面の両端が不連続な、即ち
溶接面の形状が閉じていない場合に適用して有効である
(従来の技術) 同材質の合成樹脂製部品同士を接合する場合、接合すべ
き合成樹脂製部品の接合面の間に、鉄或はその合金のよ
うな高周波誘導電流が惹起され易い材質で造られた発熱
体を挟持し、再接合面を互いに押圧しつつ上記発熱体の
近傍に配設した高周波誘導コイルに通電し、高周波誘導
電流に伴う発熱体の発熱により上記再接合面の合成樹脂
を溶融し混合させ、この合成樹脂の冷却後に接合すべき
合成樹脂製部品同士が一体的に接合されるようにするこ
とが考えられている。
このような高周波誘導加熱を利用した合成樹脂製部品同
士の接合方法は、米国特許$3461014号明細書、
特開昭48−4!3828号公報、同59−10719
5号公報等に開示されている。このうち、特開昭59−
107195号公報には、合成樹脂製のタンクと同材貫
装の座板とを接合する例が示されている。即ち、第3図
に示すように、タンク1の下端面1aと座板2の周縁部
上面とを重ね合せるとともに両面のうちの一方の面に全
周に亘って形成した溝3に金属製の発熱体4を嵌装し、
座板2に穿設した孔5に金属製の通液管6の端部を隙間
なく貫通させ5発熱体4と通液管3との近くに設けた高
周波誘導コイル7.7aに通電することにより発熱体4
と通液管3とを発熱させ、タンク1と座板2とを溶着す
ると同時に座板2と通液管3とを接合するものである。
タンクと座板とを接合する以外の場合についても、接合
すべき部品が同材質の合成樹脂製である場合、はぼ同様
にして接合することができる。
(発明が解決しようとする問題点) ところが、上述のような高周波銹導法により合成樹脂製
部品同士を溶着する場合、次に述べるような不都合を生
じる。
即ち、接合面の間に挾持する発熱体4が、第4図に示す
ような環状であったり、或は第5図に示すような枠状で
あった場合、高周波誘導コイル7への通電によりこの発
熱体4に惹起された高周波誘導電流は、閉じられた回路
を流れてこの発熱体4の温度を上昇させるが、発熱体4
の形状が第6図に示すような直線状であったり、或は第
7図に示すようにコ字形であったりして、高周波誘導電
流が流れる回路が閉じられていない場合、この発熱体4
を囲む高燗波誘導コイル7に通電しても、この発熱体4
には高周波誘導電流が流れにくく、従って発熱体4の湿
度上昇が小さくなる。
このため、平板状、或は断面コ字形の合成樹脂製部品同
士を高周波誘導加熱法により溶着することができないだ
けでなく、接合面の形状が閉じられていない総ての合成
樹脂製部品同士、例えば第8図に示すように接合面がL
字形であったり、或は第9図に示すように接合面が欠円
状である合成樹脂製部品同士の接合を高周波誘導加熱法
により行なうことができない。
本発明は上述のような不都合を解消し、接合面の形状が
閉じられていない合成樹脂製部品同士の接合を行なえる
。高周波誘導加熱法による合成樹脂製部品同士の溶接方
法を提供することを目的としている。
b9発明の構成 本発明の高周波誘導加熱法による合成樹脂製部品同士の
溶接方法は、接合すべき合成樹脂製部品8.8の接合面
の形状に合せて1両端が不連続で閉じられていない形状
を有する金属製の発熱体4の両端同士を、第2図に示す
ように導線9により導通させることで上記発熱体4に電
流が流れることを自在とし、この発熱体4を上記合成樹
脂製部品8.8の接合面間に挾み、接合すべき合成樹脂
製部品8.8同士を互いに押し付けつつ5発熱体4の近
傍に配設した高周波誘導コイル7に通電する。
この高周波誘導コイル7への通電により、発熱体4に高
周波誘導電流が惹起され、この誘導電流が発熱体4と導
線9とを流れて、発熱体4の温度を上昇させ、この発熱
体4を挾持した合tj、樹脂製部品8,8の接合面の樹
脂を溶融させ、接合すべき合成樹脂製部品8.8同士を
溶着する。
溶着後、接合面の間からはみ出した導&a9を。
発熱体4の両端から除去しておく。
導&!9の両端と発熱体4の両端とを導通させる手段と
しては、半田付けやクリップ等種々の手段を採用するこ
とができ、要は高周波誘導加熱時に発熱体4内に惹起さ
れた誘導電流を導線9を通じて流せるものであれば良い
7 又、導線9の材質は、高周波誘導加熱時に於いて1発熱
体4(鉄系金属)が発熱しても導線9の発熱は低く抑え
られるように、銅のような非磁性で、かつ抵抗の低いも
のを選択する。
C1発明の効果 本発明の高周波誘導加熱法による合成樹脂製部品同士の
溶接方法は、以上に述べた通り構成され作用するので、
接合面の形状が環状や枠状のような閉じられた形状でな
くとも合成樹脂製部品同士を溶接することができ、合成
樹脂製部品の組立の簡略化を図ることができる。

視図、第3図は従来法により合成樹脂製タンクと座板と
を溶接する状態を示す断面図、第4〜5図は従来法によ
り溶接が行なえる場合に使用する発熱体、第6〜7図は
同じく行なえない場合の発熱体、第8〜9図同様に従来
法では溶接できない場合の合成樹脂製部品と発熱体との

Claims (1)

    【特許請求の範囲】
  1. 接合すべき合成樹脂製部品の接合面の形状に合せて、閉
    じられていない形状を有する金属製の発熱体の両端同士
    を導線により導通させることで上記発熱体に電流が流れ
    ることを自在とし、この発熱体を上記合成樹脂製部品の
    接合面間に挾み、接合すべき合成樹脂製部品同士を互い
    に押し付けつつ、発熱体の近傍に配設した高周波誘導コ
    イルに通電することにより、発熱体の温度を上昇させて
    、この発熱体を挾持した合成樹脂製部品の接合面の樹脂
    を溶融させ、接合すべき合成樹脂製部品同士を溶着した
    後、接合面の間からはみ出した導線を、発熱体の両端か
    ら除去する、高周波誘導加熱法による合成樹脂製部品同
    士の溶接方法。
