Abstract

1533438 Pinless hinges for doors L B YULKOWSKI 22 April 1976 [23 May 1975] 16321/76 Heading E2F A door 31 is mounted on a frame 25 by means of a pinless hinge comprising a bracket 27 mounted along the pivoting edge of the door and having first 43 and second 47 arcuate portions of different radius extending about the same centre of curvature, and a recess formed in the frame member including a bearing surface 63 engaged by the portion 43 and support surface engaged by the portion 47. The bearing surface 63 is formed on a block 57 which is releasably secured (by means 65) to enable the bracket to be detached from the frame. As shown the bracket 27 is fixedly mounted on the frame 25 but may be hinged to the frame by a similar pinless hinge arrangement to allow 180‹ opening of the door (Figs. 1, 5, 6, 7 not shown). A strap 69 prevents downward movement of the door relative to the bracket (Fig. 3 not shown).
