Description
第１図は従来の面ポンピング型レーザの構成図、第２図
及び第３図はポッケルスセルへの印加電圧波形、共振器
内の損失の時間変化及びレーザ出力波形を示し従来の装
置の動作を説明するための図、第４図はこの考案の実施
例を示す図、第５図はこの考案の動作を説明するための
図である。 図中１はレーザ活性媒質、２，３は光学的平滑面、４は
偏光子、５はポツケルスセル、６は全反射鏡、７は出力
鏡、８，９は偏光方向を示す矢印である。 なお、図中同一あるいは相当部分には同一符号を付して
示してある。

Claims (1)
- 互いにほ＼平行な少なぐとも２つの光学的に平滑な面を
有する細長い板状の均質なレーザ活性媒質であって、ま
た前記光学的平滑面の各々により複数回の内部全反射を
行なうに十分な入射角でこれらの光学的平滑面に対して
軸はずれ方向でレーザ光をその一端から入射させ通過す
るようにされたレーザ活性媒質であって、前記光学的平
滑面の少なくとも一方から励起光が照射され、原子を励
起し反転分布を生じさせられるレーザ活性物質と、偏光
子と、ポツケルスセルと、出力鏡及び全反射鏡からなる
共振器を有する面ポンピング型レーザにおいて、前記レ
ーザ活性媒質をレーザが内部全反射をして通過すること
によって入射面に対して垂直と平行な各偏波成分間に４
分の１波長の移相差を与える作用を前記レーザ活性媒質
にもたせたことを特徴とする面ポンピング型レーザ。
