Abstract

PURPOSE:To mold a ceramic filter having a uniform and arbitrary void ration into an arbitrary shape from a wide-ranging ceramic material, by mixing a walnut shell crushed in a granular form with a ceramic stock material and molding the resulting mixture before baking the same. CONSTITUTION:A usual pottery stock material such as a knot, Gairome-clay, bentonite, CMC, pottery stone, silica sand, kaolin, calcium carbonate, talc, titanium or alumina or mineral stone such as Jokaseki (stone) or Iohseki (stone) is used as a ceramic stock material and 95-50pts.wt. of this stock material is mixed with 5-50pts.wt. of a walnut shell crushed into a powder with a particle size of 100 mesh or a granular form with a particle size of 5mm or less and the resulting mixture is molded into a predetermined shape by a press or extrusion molding method and baked. By this method, a light wt. strong filter having accurate shape and a uniform void ratio is obtained.

[Detailed Description of the Invention] [Industrial Field of Application and Prior Art] This invention relates to a ceramic filter molded into various shapes, and its field of application is to filter ξneral water into a so-called filter pond. It covers a wide range of fields, including the production of sound absorbing materials, lightweight decorative building materials, etc. Conventionally, the so-called porous cell r1? Various types of filters, lightweight bricks, etc. are obtained by mixing real powder such as sawdust, carbon, etc. with raw materials.

In the conventional method of manufacturing by mixing organic powder, it is difficult to restore the raw material even when molded, or to maintain it in the desired shape, perhaps due to its own elasticity and frictional force, and the physical properties as a filter are important. However, because of the non-uniformity, it was not possible to obtain a satisfactory product at a low cost.

In the present invention, ordinary pottery raw materials such as bonito, gyrome, bentonite, aMe, pottery stone, silica stone, kaolin, charcoal, talc, titanium, alumina, etc., or so-called mineral stones such as purification stone and medical stone, etc. is used as a ceramic raw material, and 95 to 50 parts by weight of these and Cru Eff are crushed into 100 mesh powder or granules with a diameter of 5 mm or less.

However, if the amount of walnut shells is less than the above range, the physical properties as a filter will be difficult to limit, and if it is more than that, the practical value of the molded product will be significantly impaired.

According to various experiments, the moldability is extremely good in both press molding and extrusion molding. The reason for this is not yet fully clear, but it is thought that the hardness and oil content unique to walnut shells improves plasticity and mold release properties. you get something,
The air bubbles (voids) after firing are uniform, lightweight and strong.
A filter with very good physical properties was obtained.

Pulverize the so-called law stone into pieces of less than 100 pieces;
0 parts by weight and 30 parts by weight of walnut shells having an average particle size of 1fl were mixed to form a wet state, and this was prepared into a container with a height of 120ff and an outer diameter of 5Q.
After press-molding into a cylindrical container shape with an inner diameter of 2011111, it is fired at about 1,200'O for about 10 hours. When water is injected into the resulting container-shaped product, it immediately turns into mineral water and leaks out to the outside.Is that possible? , 1 state amount reached 31/min.
