Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce printing sound by reducing impact energy required in printing, by bringing recording paper preheated to temp. equal to or higher than the m.p. of a transfer material by a heat source into contact with the transfer material as it is or under pressure. CONSTITUTION:Voltage is applied to the positive characteristic thermister 10 embedded in a platen 9 to raise the temp. of recording paper 8 to the m.p. of ink or more and, when a current is supplied to a solenoid 6, an armature 2 is attracted to a yoke heel piece 5 and a leaf spring 3 is deformed. When the supply of a current is stopped, the recovery force of the leaf spring 3 changes motion energy and a printing wire 1 is driven toward the platen 9 and an ink ribbon 7 is impinged to the recording paper 8, and the heat energy from the recording paper 8 and impact energy imparted by the leaf spring 3 are added to the ink ribbon 7 and the ink of the ink ribbon remains on the recording paper 8 to perform printing. Even if printing energy added to the ink ribbon and the recording paper is extremely small, printing is enabled and the magnitude the printing sound can be reduced.

Figure 1 shows the standby state before printing, and one end of the printing wire 1 that collides with the transfer material is attached to the armature 2.
The armature 2 is fixed to a leaf spring 3, and the other end of the printing wire 1 is slidably supported by a bearing 4, forming a printing part 1a. Printing part 1a of printing wire 1
A platen 9 is arranged opposite to the armature 2.
A solenoid 6 is supported by a yoke 6 opposite to the yoke 6 . An ink ribbon 7 and a recording paper 8 are arranged between the platen 9 and the wire 1 from the wire 1 side. A solenoid 6 is used as a driving means for driving the printing wire 1 perpendicularly to the platen 9, thereby pressing the printing portion 1a against the ink ribbon 7 and separating it. When the solenoid 6 is energized, the armature 2 is attracted to the yoke portion 6a, and the plate spring 3 is deformed.

Next, when the electricity is turned off, the restoring force of the deformed leaf spring 3 is converted into kinetic energy, causing the printing wire 1 to collide with the ink ribbon 7, and the ink layer is pressed into contact with the recording paper 8, thereby transferring the ink to the recording paper 8. After the transfer is completed, the printing operation standby state shown in FIG. 1 is entered. In such a printing device, a large amount of impact energy is required to press the ink layer into contact with and separate the ink layer, which generates a large amount of noise.

Structure of the Invention The printing device of the present invention includes a printing member, a driving body that drives the printing member, and a heat source that heats recording paper to a temperature equal to or higher than the melting point of the transfer material. A device configured to print on recording paper by driving a printing member with the body and bringing the recording paper, which has been preheated by the heat source to a temperature higher than the melting point of the transfer material, into contact or pressure contact with the recording paper. This makes it possible to reduce the impact energy required for printing, thereby reducing printing noise.

In the above embodiment, the positive temperature coefficient thermistor 10 is embedded in the platen 9, which has a simple structure and is located at a position where the recording paper 8 can be easily heated, but the location of the heat source is not limited to the platen. Although we used a positive temperature coefficient thermistor as the heating element because it is easy to set the temperature, the heating element is not limited to this. ?+ -%

Effects of the Invention As is clear from the above explanation, the present invention is configured to include a heat source that heats the recording paper to a temperature higher than the melting point of the ink. Printing is possible even when the printing energy applied to the paper is very small, and this provides the excellent effect of muffling printing noise.
