The dewatering process of dried seaweed production machines is generally carried out by pressing and dewatering the seaweed spread on the roof using a dehydrating sponge, but this type of dehydrating sponge has a fairly thick wall with extremely strong water absorption in order to increase the dehydrating effect. sponge is used. For this reason, while dehydrating a large number of sheets of seaweed, fine dirt contained in the seaweed may penetrate deep into the sponge due to its strong water absorption, gradually reducing the dehydration effect, and during press dehydration, dirt may accumulate on the sponge side. There are problems such as adhesion to the surface of the seaweed and deterioration of the quality of the seaweed. Therefore, it is necessary to remove the dehydrating sponge from the seaweed manufacturing machine and wash it appropriately to remove the dirt that has gotten inside, but conventionally this cleaning work has been done entirely by hand, which is extremely inefficient. Furthermore, it was not possible to sufficiently squeeze out and remove the dirt that had penetrated deeply into the interior.

The present invention has been made in view of the above points, and includes a placing part for setting a dehydrating sponge, a pressing part made of a porous member disposed above the placing part, and a holding part made of a porous member arranged above the placing part. A sponge cleaning device is constructed of a lifting device for the dehydration sponge, a holding member for the pressing portion, a slider that slides on the surface of the dehydration sponge, and a water supply portion that supplies cleaning water to the dehydration sponge. With this configuration, the lifting device is driven to repeatedly press the surface of the dehydration sponge against the porous member, and after squeezing out the dirt that has entered the inside of the sponge onto the sponge surface, The filth is removed by scraping it off with a slider. Next, an embodiment of the present invention will be explained with reference to each figure.

FIGS. 2 and 3 are a front view and a side view of the sponge cleaning device. Reference numeral 5 indicates a placing section on which the sponge 1 is set, and a roller 6.6 is installed at the bottom of the placing section 5. Each roller 6.6 is fitted with an eccentric cam 7.7. The rotating shafts 8 of both cams 7.7 are driven by a motor 12 via pulleys 9.10 and a body belt 11. These constitute an elevating device 13 for the above-mentioned placing section 5, and when the motor 12 is driven, the cam 7.7 rotates, and accordingly, the placing section 5 on which the sponge 1 is set moves up and down.

This device is constructed as described above, and when the sponge l is set on the placing portion 5 and the motor 12 is driven while water is being sprinkled from the water supply portion 23, the cams 7.7 rotate and the placing portion 5 is The sponge 1 begins to move up and down, and the surface of the sponge 1 is intermittently pressed against the rod 17 (see Figures 6 (a) and (b)), and the dirt 24 that has entered the sponge 1 is squeezed out onto the surface of the sponge 1. It will be done. Once the dirt 24 in the sponge l has been sufficiently squeezed out, the drive of the motor 12 is stopped, the grip part 18 is held, and the pressing part 15 is moved forward along the guide member 20.20. Then, the slider 19 slides on the surface of the sponge 1, and the dirt squeezed out and attached to the surface of the sponge 1 is scraped off by the slider 19 (see Figure 7).
. In this way, according to this device, the dirt 24 that has entered the sponge l can be easily squeezed out and reliably removed. Note that the broken line arrow in FIG. 6(b) indicates the water drained from the sponge 1.
