Abstract

PURPOSE:To facilitage the temperature measuring operation by providing temperature measuring elements at a plurality of tiny holes bored on a driving pipe made of material with a large mechanical strength but not so high in the heat conductivity along the length thereof while the surface of the elements is covered with a protective film better in the heat conductivity. CONSTITUTION:A pipe 1 which will be driven into the ground 2 is made of material with a large mechanical strength but not so high in the heat conductivity, for example, stainless steel. Tiny holes 3 are bored at positions on a pipe 1 along the length thereof, small-diameter base sections 5 are fitted into the tiny holes 3 and a plastic insulating packing 4 is provided to be fixed on the pipe 1 with an adhesive 6. A dent 7 is formed on the head 8 of the packing 4 and provided with a temperature measuring element 9 comprising a thermocouple. A lead 10 inserted into the pipe 1 is run through the element 9 and the surface of the temperature measuring element 9 of the dent 7 is protected with a protective film 11 made of material with a large mechanical strength and a better heat conductivity, for example, silicon based rubber material.

[Detailed Description of the Invention] [Prior Art] Conventionally, underground temperature has been measured by digging a hole in the ground and embedding a temperature probe in the hole. In order to measure the temperature at a location, the disadvantage is that the configuration must be large-scale.

This invention involves drilling a plurality of small holes at each position in the length direction of the pipe in a pipe made of a material with high mechanical strength and poor thermal conductivity, which is driven into the ground. It is easy to arrange the temperature measuring element in the small hole, and it is possible to measure the temperature at many points at different depths underground by simply driving the pipe into the ground, and the temperature measurement operation is easy. Environmental management of a residential basement can be easily performed.
