Abstract

PURPOSE:To measure easily and exactly a surface temperature of a wall surface in a narrow gap by inserting a sensor consisting of a bag of a rectangle or an optional shape, which has thermal conductivity and abounds in flexibility, and a temperature measuring body stuck to its surface, into the gap between the wall surfaces. CONSTITUTION:A sensor is constituted of a bag 1, a temperature measuring body 2 and a fluid injecting port 3. Also, this sensor is inserted into an air layer 7 so that air is injected from the fluid injecting port 3. In this case, the temperature measuring body 2 is placed between the bag 1 and a wall 5 by a fluid pressure, and is in with contact the wall 5 under pressure. Accordingly, the temperature measuring body 2 is in exact with contact the wall 5, and an information from the temperature measuring body 2 shows correctly a surface temperature of the wall 5. Also, the bag 1 abounds in flexibility, therefore, it can be applied even in case when the walls 5, 6 have a curvature, and a surface temperature of a wall surface in a narrow gap can be measured easily and exactly.

It is necessary to place the thermometer in close contact with the wall. Although this is easy to achieve on a wall with a large space, it poses significant difficulties when measuring the surface temperature on both sides of two walls with only a narrow gap. In this case, the only way to do this was to embed the temperature measuring element in a state where the gap in the wall had been expanded in advance, making it difficult to measure the temperature of the wall surface in the existing gap.

In view of the above object, the present invention is characterized in that a temperature measuring sensor is inserted into the gap between the wall surfaces, and the temperature measuring section is brought into close contact with the wall surface. The sensor consists of a thermally conductive and flexible bag having a rectangular or arbitrary shape, and a temperature sensing element adhered to the surface of the bag. This sensor is inserted into the gap as described above, and the bag is inflated by injecting fluid, and the pressure causes the temperature measuring element of the temperature measuring section to come into close contact with the wall surface.

FIG. 1 shows an example of a sensor for measuring temperature, which is composed of a bag 1 and a thermometer 2 for measuring temperature. A fluid inlet 3 is present at the lower end of the bag 1. A valve 4 is attached to this fluid inlet 3, through which fluid is taken in and taken out. Bag 1 is made of stainless steel foil.
Air is used as the fluid. Moreover, a thermocouple is used for the temperature measuring body 2. The thermocouple is tightly attached to the bag 1 by soldering or adhesive.

FIG. 2 shows the case where the above sensor is used to measure the wall surface temperature, and the sensor consisting of the dust bag 1, temperature measuring element 2, and fluid inlet 3 is formed on the walls 5 and 6. The figure shows the state after the fluid injection port 3 is inserted into the air layer 7, air is injected through the fluid injection port 3, and the valve 4 at the base thereof is closed. The temperature measuring element 2 is sandwiched between the bag 1 and the wall 50 and is pressed against the wall 5 by fluid pressure. In this state, the temperature measuring element 2 is firmly in contact with the wall 5, and the information from the temperature measuring element 2 correctly indicates the surface temperature of the wall 5.

, FIG. 3 shows a case where the sensor of FIG. 1 is applied to the measurement of the surface temperature of the walls on both sides of a concentric double circular tube. The sensor is inserted into an annular space 7 between walls 5 and 6, and after air is injected through the fluid inlet 3, the valve 4 is closed. In FIG. 3, thermocouples 2 as temperature sensors are glued to both sides of the bag 1.
It is pressed against walls 5 and 6 by fluid pressure. In this state, the surface temperatures of walls 5 and 6 can be measured correctly.
