【発明の詳細な説明】
本発明は作動油組成物、さらに詳しくは、高沸点かつ高
ペーパーロック温度を有する作動油に関する。 グリコールェーテルをベースとした作動油は、永年自動
車のブレーキやクラッチ系統などに用いられ、現在もな
お、もっとも一般に用いられている形の作動油である。 しかし、油圧器業界やソサイエテイ・オプ・オウトモテ
イブ・エンジニヤ−０ズ（ＳｏｃｉｅｔｙｏｆＡ山ｏｍ
ｏｔｉｖｅＥｎｇｎｅｅ岱）のような非営利団体により
設けられている必要とされる品質規格はしだし、にきび
しくなってきている。特に、業者が処方する油に対し、
また水の存在下における油に対し、より高い沸点と、さ
らに重要な夕ことには、より高いペーパーロック温度を
有することが要求されるようになっている。グリコール
ヱーテルをベースとする油は吸湿性で、大気中から水を
吸収するために、この点で劣ることが知られている。こ
れにより、油の沸点とべ‐パーロッ０ク温度が低下し、
長期の使用により、油の水分含量は沸点やペーパーロッ
ク温度を危険限界にまで低下させるような濃度に達する
。この油は、激しいブレーキングなどにより加熱される
と重大なブレーキ機能の不能を起すほどに沸騰し、ある
いはタ気化する。この問題を解消するため、グリコール
ェステルをベースとした低吸湿性の作動油が開発されて
いる。 この油は比較的大気中の水分の影響を受けにくいが、グ
リコールヱーテルベース油より高価で、技術的に不利な
点を持っており、例えば、粘性の点でグリコールェーテ
ルベース油より劣る。従って、この低吸湿性油の使用は
主に、その高沸点および高ペーパーロック温度のような
好ましい性質がその不利な点より重要であると考える場
合に限られる。他の型の水不感性油も開発されているが
、業界では未だ、グリコールェーテルベース油および低
吸湿性油両方の好ましい性質をできるだけ多く備え、望
ましくは、低吸湿性油より高い沸点および／またはペー
パーロック温度を有する新しい油を捜し求めている。最
近、自動車の設計では、これまで別々の油圧系統で操作
されていたパワー・ステアリング、ショック・アブソー
バーおよびブレｍキのような装置の操作に単一の油圧系
統を用いる傾向が多くなつており、これに適する油を処
方するのに重大な問題が起っている。 従来、パワー・ステアリング系統およびショック・アブ
ソ−バーに用いられている鍵油ベースの油は該系統のシ
ールやガスケツトに用いられるニトリルおよびクロロプ
レンゴムに対しては充分であるが、油圧ブレーキやクラ
ッチ系統の構造物に用いられる天然および合成ゴムに対
しては非常に有害である。この結果、ブレーキやクラッ
チ系統のシールに著るしい膨張を起し、該系統に重大な
機能不全を引き起す。−方、従来ブレーキやクラッチ系
統に用いられている油は、一般にグリコール、グリコー
ルヱーテルおよび／またはグリコールエーテルエステル
であり、これらの系統においては充分作動するが、パワ
ー・ステアリング系統およびショック・アブソ−バーに
用いるニトリルおよびクロロプレンゴムガスケットには
有害で、やはり機能不全を引き起す。一般にすべての機
械装置において望まれることであるが、自動車の操作に
おいても、安全性の点から操作の信頼性が絶対必要条件
として重要性を増している。そのため、作動油において
も、種々な異なった装置の操作を制御する集中システム
に充分用いることができる油を要求されるようになって
いる。本発明者らは、比較的大気中の水分の影響を受け
にくく、良好な粘度特性とすぐれたペーパーロック温度
を合せ持つある種のけし、素化合物を見出した。 これらの性質により、該化合物は改良された作動油の処
方に有用であり、さらに、この望ましい性質の組合せは
、公知の作動油と混合し、これまで充分満足できる油を
提供することが非常に困難であるか、むしろ不可能であ
った集中油圧システムなどにおける使用に通した組成物
を提供することを可能ならしめる。本発明のけし、素化
合物は式： で示されるグリコール置換アリールシランである。 前記式中、各記号はつぎのものを意味する。 ‘ａｌ Ｒはアリール、好ましくはフェニルまたは置換
フェニル（好ましくは、置換基が短鎖ァルキルのもの）
を意味する。【ｂ１×は、式： または で示される基を 意味する。 ｛ｃ｝ 各Ｒ６は他のＲ６と同一または異なって、各々
Ｒまたはアルキルを意味するｃ｛ｄ’各Ｒ′は他のＲ′
と同一または異なって、各々前記〔Ａ〕で示される基、
アルキル（Ｒ６）、アリール（Ｒ）または式：−○一Ｒ
５ で示される基を意味する。 ‘ｅ）各Ｒ２は他のＲ２と同一または異なって、各々水
素、メチルまたはエチルを意味する。 ただし、Ｒ２のいずれかがメチルまたはエチルの場合、
隣接する炭素原子に結合するＲ２は水素を意味する。‘
ｆ｝ 各Ｒ３は他のＲ３と同一または異なってｔ各々ト
水素またはアルキルを意味する。 （ｇ）Ｒ４はジオールまたはポリオール残基を意味する
。 （ｈ） 各Ｒ５は他のＲ５と同一または異なって、各々
ァルキル（好ましくは炭素数１〜６のもの）を意味する
。 （ｉ）各ｎは整数、好ましくは１〜１０」さらに好まし
くは１〜６、特に１〜４を意味する。 （ｉ）ただし、該グリコール置換アリールシランは少な
くとも１つの式：−○一Ｒ４一〇−または で示される基を含む。 グリコ−ル置換アリールシランを油圧ブレーキおよびク
ラッチ系統に用いる場合、該系統に用いられているシー
ルおよびガスケットのゴム膨張を最少にするため、Ｒ６
、Ｒ３およびＲ５は、例えば炭素数１〜４、さらに好ま
しくは１または２の比較的短鎖のアルキルであることが
好ましい。 しかし、集中システムに用いる場合には、種々のシール
およびガスケット材各々に対して、いまいま相反する要
求を折衷させるようにすることが好ましい。この場合、
Ｒ６、Ｒ３およびＲ５のいくつかまたは全ては、例えば
炭素数６または８までの長鎖のアルキル基であってもよ
い。好ましい化合物は、Ｒがフェニルの場合、１つのＲ
がメチルで他のＲ′およびＸが同一で式：で示される基
のものであり、特に好ましい化合物は式：〔式中、Ｒ２
、Ｒ３およびＲ４は前記と同じ；ｎは１〜４を意味する
〕で示される。 本発明のグリコール置換アＩＪールシラン作動油成分は
公知の方法により、アリールクロロシランをグリコール
、他のジオール、ポリオール、グリコールモノアルキル
ェーテルまたは適当なアルカノールと反応させて容易に
製造することができる。 すなわち、×が式〔Ａ〕で示される基の場合、アリール
クロロシランを式：〔式中、Ｒ２は水素；ｎは前記と同
じである〕で示されるエチレングリコールモノェーテル
と反応させて製造できる。 両方のＲ′がＲの化合物は、トリアリールクロロシラン
から製造できる。同様に、１つのＲ′がＲで、他のＲ′
がさらにグリコールモノェーテル残基である化合物また
は両方のＲ′がさらにグリコールモノェ−テル残基であ
る化合物は各々ジアリールジクロロシランおよびアリー
ルトリクロロシランから製造できる。同様な化合物は、
プロピレン（Ｒ２がメチルのもの）およびブチレン（Ｒ
２がエチルのもの）グリコールモノェーテルから同様に
して製造できる。別法として、混合グリコールモノェー
テル、例えばエチレンおよびプロピレン残基の混合物を
含有するグリコールモノェーテルを用いることもできる
。該アリールクロロシランは該グリコールモノェ−テル
と化学量論量もしくは後者の反応体を過剰に用いて反応
させることができる。本質的に反応を完了させるには過
剰のグリコールモ／エーテルを用いることが好ましく、
通常、わずかに過剰、例えば約１０％過剰とすることが
必要である。所望により、２または３個の異なったグリ
コールモノェーテル残基を有する化合物もまた、ジアリ
ールジクロロシランまたはアリールトリクロロシランと
２または３個の異なったグリコールモノエーテルと反応
させることにより製造できる。この反応はグリコールモ
ノェーテルの混合物と一工程の反応で行なうことができ
る。しかし、より好ましくは、該アリールクロロシラン
を各グリコールモ／エーテルと連続的に反応させる。こ
の場合、用いる反応体の割合の調節に注意することが非
常に望ましい。各工程においては不完全反応を考慮して
、わずかに過剰、例えば１０％過剰のグリコールモノヱ
ーテルを用いることが有用な方法である。同様な方法は
アルキルアリールジクロロシランから出発する場合にも
用いることができる。この方法で得られる化合物の全て
のＲは式：で示されるグリコールモノェーテル基または
Ｒである。 Ｒ′の１つ以上が式−○−Ｒ５で示される基である化合
物はグリコールモノェーテルおよび式Ｈ−０−Ｒ５で示
されるアルカノ−ルを用いて同様に製造できる。この場
合もまた、グリコールモノェーテルおよびアルカノ−ル
の混合物を用いて一工程で反応を行なうことができ、ま
た連続的に行なうこともできる。Ｘが式〔Ｂ〕で示され
る基の化合物は適当なモノクロロシランをジオールまた
はポリオールと反応させて製造できる。 すなわち、トリアリールクロロシランと式：で示される
グリコールの該反応により式：で示される化合物が得ら
れる。 別法として、一工程で同時にジアリールもしくはアルキ
ルアリールジクロロシランまたはアリールトリクロロシ
ランを、各々１または２モルのグリコールモノェーテル
と反応させてジアリールもしくはアルキルアリールグリ
コールモノエーテルクロロシランまたはアリール−ジ−
（グリコールモノェ−テル）クロロシランを得、ついで
グリコールと反応させることもできる。 該一工程反応はより都合のよいものであるが調節するの
に困難であり、そのため、連続的に反応させることが好
ましい。グリコールの代わり１こ、ネオベンチルグリコ
ール、トリメチロールプロパン、ベンタエリスリトール
またはジベンタエリスリトールのようなポリオールを用
いて式−○−Ｒ４−○一で示されるボリオール残基を介
して２つのけし、素原子が結合した化合物を得ることが
できる。 この場合、Ｒ４は１つ以上のヒドロキシ残基を有する。
別法として、充分な量のクロロシランを用いて該ポリオ
ールの２以上のヒドロキシ基と反応させてヒドロキシ銭
基の代わりに式で示される基を導入することもできる。 ×が式〔８〕で示される基である好ましい化合物は、各
けい素原子が少なくとも１つのグリコールモノェーテル
残基を有し、もっとも好ましくは、各けし、素原子が２
つのグリコールモノェーテル残基を有するものである。 この方法で得られるＸが式〔Ｂ〕で示される基である化
合物は、全てのＲ′がＲまたはグリコールモノェーテル
基のものである。Ｒ′の１つ以上が式−○一Ｒ５で示さ
れる基である化合物は少なくともグリコールモノェーテ
ルの一部を式Ｈ−○−Ｒ５のアルカノールに代えること
により同様の方法で製造できる。×が式〔Ｃ〕、〔Ｄ〕
または〔Ｅ〕で示される基である化合物はＳｉ−○一Ｓ
ｉ結合を含み「公知の方法を用いて適当な前駆体から製
造できる。 すなわ＊ち、ジアリールもしくはアルキルアリールグリ
コールモノヱーテルクロロシランまたはアリールジー（
グリコールモノエーテル）クロロシランを加水分解して
式；で示されるジシロキサン（Ｘが式〔Ｄ〕で示される
基のもの）を得る。 さらに別法として式：で示される化合物はトリアリール
クロロシラントジアリールジクロロシランまたはアリー
ルージー２（グリコールモノェーテル）クロロシランか
ら製造することができる。作動油成分として用いること
のできる本発明の化合物の製造においては、クロロシラ
ンとヒドロキシ基の反応（分子に１つ以上のグリコール
モノ２エーテル残基もしくは式−○一Ｒ４一○−で示さ
れる基または１つ以上の式−０−Ｒ５で示される基を導
入する）は遊離された塩化水素を除去するため、酸受容
体または不活性ガスパージの存在下で行なう。 特に好ましい酸受容体はピリジソのよ３うな第３級塩基
である。該化合物の製法の別法として、適当な触媒の存
在下に、基（式中」Ｒ″は低級アルキル、好ましくはメ
チルまたはエチルを意味する）を適当なアルコール、グ
リコ−ル、グリコールエーテルまたはポリオキシアルキ
レングリコールエーテルとェステル交換してもよい。 該グリコール置換アリールシラン作動油成分は添加剤、
ベース油またはベース油の混合成分としても用いること
ができる。 従って、その割合は広範に変えることができる。ベース
油として用いる場合は作動油の大部分、例えば、作動油
全軍量の７５または８０〜９９％（重量％、以下同じ）
をグリコール置換ァリールシランとし、残りを後記の通
常の作動油添加剤および／または少量の後記他の作動油
ベース油で構成する。ベース油混合成分として用いる場
合は同様に全ベース油混合物を作動油の大部分に用いる
。 この場合、グリコ−ル置換アリールシランの性質を改良
するため、グリコール置換アリールシランの１種以上を
主に用いて、より少ない量の後記他のベース油１種以上
と混合する。例えばト作動油には、グリコール置換アリ
ールシランの１種以上を全重量の５５〜７０％含有させ
る。別法として、１種以上の他のベース油と、例えば作
動油が２０〜４０％のグリコール置換アリールシラン含
量となるように、より少ない量のグリコール置換ァリー
ルシランを混合してもよい。さらにＬほぼ等量を混合し
、４０〜５５％のグリコ−ル置換アリールシランを含む
油を得、グリコール置換アリールシランと他の油の性質
を折衷させてもよい。添加剤として用いる場合、該グリ
コール置換アリールシランは主に作動性の水に対する感
受性、特に油の沸点およびペーパー。 ック温度における感受性を抑圧するために有用である。
このためには、好ましくは作動油全軍量の０．５〜１５
％あるいは２０％、さらに好ましくは１〜１２％のグリ
コール置換ァリールシランを用いる。この作動油の大部
分は後記ベース油の１種以上から構成される。グリコー
ル置換アリールシランをベース油の混合成分として用い
る場合、得られた作動油には、実質的にグリコール置換
ァリールシランからなるベース油の場合と同様に通常の
作動油添加剤を配合してもよい。同様に、添加剤として
用いる場合もグリコール置換アリールシランを、所望に
より、通常の作動油添加剤と共に用いることができる。
グリコール置換ァリールと混合するベース油またはグリ
コール置換ァリールを添加剤として用いる場合のベース
油にはグリコール、グリコールェーテル、グリコールエ
ステル、グリコールオルトヱステルおよびほう酸ェステ
ルを包含する。 好ましいグリコールェステルベース油は式：および／ま
たは 〔式中、Ｒ６は炭素数２以上、好ましくは２〜８の直鎖
または分枝鎖のアルキレン：Ｒ７は、同一または異なっ
て、各々炭素数１〜４のアルキルまたはフェニル；Ｒ８
は、同一または異なって、各々エチレン、プロピレンま
たはブチレン；ｘは、同一または異なって、各々０また
は１〜３の整数；Ｒ９は、同一または異なって、各々エ
チルまたはメチル：ＲＩ０は、同一または異なって、各
々ェチレンまたはプロピレン；ｙは、好ましくはキＲＩ
℃チｙ基中の全炭素数４〜１２、さらに好ましくは４〜
９となるような整数を意味する〕で示される。 式〔１〕で示されるジカルボン酸ヱステルは英国特許明
細書第１０斑３２４号に開示されている。 本発明において用いる適当なヱステルは該特許明細書第
１０斑３２４号に開示されているこはく酸、グルタール
酸、アジピン酸、アゼラィン酸、セバシン酸、ィソセバ
シン酸およびナイロン酸のメチル、エチル、プロピルお
よびブチルオキシトール、ジオキシト−ルならびにトリ
オキシトールエステルで、該ナィ。ン酸ェステル、特に
ナイロン酸−ジー（メチルジオキシトール）ェステルが
好ましい。式
〔０〕のグリコールジェステルは公知の化
合物で、好ましいグリコールジェステルは英国特許明細
書第１２４９８０３号に開示されているジプロピオン酸
グリコールェステルである。 該作動油は５０％以下のグリコ−ルジヱステルと、もし
用いるならば、残りは式〔１〕のェステルであるカルボ
ン酸ェステル成分からなることが好ましい。種々のほう
酸エステルべ−ス油は公知であり、これらはつぎの式：
Ｂ÷〔ＯＲＩＩナｐＯＲ１２）３ 〔ｍ〕〔式
中、ＲＩＩは同一または異なって、各々直鎖または分枝
鎖のアルキレン；Ｒ１２は同一または異なって、各々ア
ルキル；ｐは同一または異なって、各々整数；ｑは２〜
６の整数；Ｒ１３はｑと同数の反応性ヒドロキシ基を有
するジまたはポリヒドロキシ有機化合物残基；Ｒ１４は
同一または異なって「各々酸素原子を介して各ホウ素原
子に絹合するジヒドロキシ有機化合物残基を意味する〕
で示される。 これらのほう酸ヱルテルは本発明者らの特厭昭４７−０
０８２４６号（ドイツ公開明細書第Ｐ２２０２７３２号
に対応）に詳細に開示されている。 さりこ、用いられるベース油としては式三〔式中、Ｒ１
５は水素、炭素数１〜５のアルキルまたはＯＲ１６：Ｒ
１６は同一または異なって、各々炭素数１〜４のアルキ
ル、オキシアルキレングリコールモノェーテルまたは２
〜２０のアルキレンオキシ単位を有するポリオキシアル
キレングリコールモノェーテル、ただし、少なくとも１
つのＲ１６はオキシアルキレングリコールモノエーテル
まはポリオキシアルキレングリコールモノエーテルであ
る；Ｒ１７は炭素数１〜１２のアルキレソ（ただし、Ｒ
１５がＯＲ１６の場合）または式−○÷Ｒ１８−○ナｚ
（式中、Ｒ１８は同一または異なって、各々炭素数２〜
８のアルキレン；ｚは１〜６の整数を意味する）で示さ
れる基を意味する〕で示される英国特許明細書第１３３
０４磯号に開示されているグリコールオルトエステルで
ある。 このグリコールオルトェステルの詳細については該英国
特許明細書に記載されている。本発明の特に好ましい具
体例は、グリコール置換アリールシランを、グリコール
ェ−テルおよび前記式〔ｍ〕で示されるほう酸ェステル
を混合してなる作動油に「添加剤またはベース油混合成
分として用いることである。 本発明のもう一つの特に好ましい臭体例は「グリコール
置換ァリールシランを、前記式〔１〕およびノまたは〔
０〕のグリコールヱステルの１種以上または前記式〔１
〕および／または
〔０〕のグリコールェステルの１種以
上と前記式〔ｍ〕〜〔Ｗ〕のほう酸ェステルの１種以上
「特に式〔ｍ〕のほう酸ェステルを混合してなる作動油
に、添加剤またはベース油混合成分として用いることで
ある。 本発明の作動油にはまた、少量のポリオキシアルキレン
グリコールまたはそのエーテルｔ例えばユニオン。 カー／ゞイト・コーポレイシヨン（ＵｎｉｏｎＣａｒｂ
ｉｄｅ Ｃｏｒｐｏｒａｔｉｏｎ）から登録商標「Ｕｃ
ｏｎ」として販売されているもの、特にそのＬＢおよび
ＨＢシリーズを配合してもよい。このポリオキシアルキ
レングリコールおよびそのエーナルならびにェステルの
適当な例は英国特許明細書第１０５５６４１号に開示さ
れている。グリコール置換ァリールシランと併用する代
表的な添加剤はひまし油または種々の方法で処理したひ
まし油、例えばファースツひまし油（ＦｉｒｓｔｓＣａ
ｓｔｒｏｌＯｉｌ）、ＤＴＤ７２仕様ひまし油、褐色ひ
まし油（ひまし油を加熱しながら空気または酸「で葛変
させる）、スベシアル淡褐色ひまし油（同様にひまし油
を褐変させる）、「ハイドリシン（Ｈｙのｉｃｉｎ）４
」（市販のエチレンオキシドーポリェチレンオキシド処
理ひまし油）である。 他の適当な潤滑剤は、全炭素数４〜２４を有する第１級
または第２級脂肪族アミンのオルトリン酸塩または硫酸
塩、アルキル基に炭素原子平均３．５〜１３固を有する
くえん酸ジアルキルェステル、脂肪族ジカルボン酸およ
びそのェステル、例えば、特に、ジアミルアミンオルト
りん酸塩、ジノニルアミンオルトりん酸塩、ジアミルア
ミン硫酸塩、くえん酸ジノニルェステル、くえん酸ジ（
２−エチルヘキシル）ェステル、分子量２００のポリオ
キシヱチレングリコールから誘導されるセバシン酸ポリ
オキシェチレンェステル、分子量２００のポリオキシェ
チレングリコールから誘導されるアゼラィン酸ポリオキ
シェチレンェステル、分子量２００のボリオキシェチレ
ングリコールから誘導されるアジピン酸ポリオキシェチ
レンヱステル、平均分子量約２００のポリオキシグリコ
ール混合物から譲導されるグルタール酸ポリオキシェチ
レンノポリオキシプロピレンェステル、グルタール酸、
アゼラィン酸、ゼバシン酸、こはく酸、セバシン酸ジェ
チルェステル、ゼバシン酸ジ２ーヱチルヘキシルヱステ
ル、アゼラィン酸ジィソオクチルェステルである。 脂肪族不飽和酸またはその塩、例えばオレィン酸または
リシノール酸カリウムも用いることができる。 本発明に用いる腐蝕抑制剤は含窒素複秦環化合物、例え
ば、英国特許明細書第１０６１９０４号に開示されてい
るペンゾトリアゾールおよびペンゾトリアゾール誘導体
またはメルカプトベンゾチアゾールから選ばれる。 多くのアミンまたはその誘導体、例えば、ジーｎ−ブチ
ルアミン、ジーｎーアミルアミン、シクロヘキシルアミ
ン、モルホリン、トリェタノールアミンおよびその可溶
性塩、例えばシクロヘキシルアミンカルボン酸塩も腐蝕
抑制剤として適当である。亜りん酸ェステル、例えば、
亜りん酸トリフェニル、亜りん酸ジィソプロピルも腐蝕
抑制剤として良好であり、ある種の無機塩、例えば、硝
酸ナトリウムと併用できる。 ジアリールアミン、例えば、ジフェニルアミン、ｐ・ｐ
′ージオクチルジフエニルアミン、フエニルーＱ−ナフ
チルアミンまたはフエニルーａ−ナフチルアミソのよう
な抗酸化剤も使用できる。 他の適当な抗酸化剤はヒンダードフヱノール（ｈｉｎｄ
ｅｒｅｄｐｈｅｎｏｌ）、例えば、２・４ージメチルー
６−ｔ−ブチルフエノール、２・６−ジーｔーフチル−
４ーメチルフエノール、２・６−ジーｔ−ブチルフエノ
ール、１・１−ピス（３・５ージーｔ−ブチル−４−ヒ
ドロキシフエニル）メタン、３１３・５１５ーテトラ−
ｔーブチルー４・４′ージヒドロキシジフエニル、３−
メチル一４・６−ジーｔ−ブチルフエノール、４ーメチ
ルー２一ｔ−ブチルフエノールである。さらに、フェノ
チアジンおよびその譲導体、例えば、分子の窒素原子ま
たはアリール基に結合したアルキル基またはアリール基
を有するものも添加剤として用いられる。 アルキレンオキシドーアンモニア縮合生成物、例えば英
国特許明細書第１２４９８０３号に開示されているプロ
ピレンオキシドーアンモニア縮合生成物も腐蝕抑制剤と
して用いられる。 さらに、商品名レオプレツクス（Ｒｅｏｐｌｅｘ）６４
１として市販され、英国特許明細書第１２４９８０３号
に開示されているような複合エステルも潤滑性添加剤と
して使用される。その上、英国特許明細書第１２４９８
０３号に開示されているような、最鎖（例えば、炭素数
１０〜１８）第１級ァミン腐蝕抑制剤および重合キノリ
ン樹脂抗酸化剤、例えば、市販のアルメェン（〜ｍｅｅ
ｎ）１狐およびァゲラィト（Ａ群ｒｉｔｅ）樹脂Ｄも用
いることができる。前記の通常の添加剤は一般に０．０
５〜１０％、例えば、０．１〜２％のごとき少量を用い
る。 厳密な組成とは無関係に、本発明の作動油は−４０ｑｏ
における動粘度が５００比ＳＬ特に２００比Ｓ広〆下で
あることが非常に望ましい。 また該作動油の沸点は少なくとも２６０ｑｏであること
が望ましい。つぎに実施例を挙げ、本発明をさらに詳し
く説明する。実施例 １ トルエン２．５そおよびフェニルトリクロロシラン２１
１夕（１モル）をガラス容器に入れ、水浴で冷却しなが
ら縄拝する。 ジェチレングリコールモノメチルエーテル３９６夕（３
．３モル）およびピリジン２６１夕（３．３モル）を混
合し、３０分間を要してゆっくりと加える。この間、温
度は４３ｑｏ以下に保持する。混合液は粘度を増加し、
白色粒状沈澱（ピリジン塩酸塩）を生じる。１００ｑｏ
で４時間加熱後、混合液を放冷し、櫨過し、１００００
／２仇岬Ｈｇで蒸留し、さらに１８８ｏｏ／０．１側Ｈ
ｇで蒸留し、ついで櫨過助剤を通して櫨過して、トリス
（メチルジグリコール）フェニルシラン３６３夕（７９
％）を得る。 該生成物の構造は赤外分析により確認された。元素分析
（％）実測値：Ｓｉ、６．総：ＣＩ、０．０３；計算値
：Ｓｉ、６．０６：ＣＩ、０実施例 ２および３後記第
１表参照。 実施例 ４ 前記実施例１と同様に、トルェン２．５で中の〆＊チル
フエニルジクロロシラン５７３夕（３モル）にジエチレ
ングリコ−ル１５９夕（１．５モル）およびピリジン２
３７２（３モル）の混合液を加えてジェチレングリコ−
ル（メチルジグリコールメチルフエニルシラン）を得る
。 添加完了後、温度を５０ｑｏ以下から１００ｑｏに上げ
、４時間保持する。反応混合液を再び５ぴ０以下に冷却
し、ジェチレングリコールモノメチルエーテル３９６夕
（３．３モル）およびピリジン２６０．７夕（３．３モ
ル）の混合液を加える。発熱がおさまったら、再び１０
０ｑｏで４時間保時し、前記のように生成物を分離する
。収量１７２．６夕（６４％）、元素分析（％）実測値
：Ｓｉ、１０．８；ＣＩ、０．１以下：計算値：Ｓｉ、
９．６２：ＣＩ、０、生成物の構造はつぎのとおり：別
の命名法によれば、該化合物は１１４−ビス−〔（メト
キシエトキシエトキシ）メチルフエニルシロキシ〕ブタ
ンである。実施例 ５‐ トリエチレングリコールモノメチルグリコール３６５６
夕（４モル）、フエニルトリエトキシシラン２４０夕（
１モル）およびチタン酸テトラィソプロピルェステル１
の【の混合物を１２″充填加熱カラム中で加熱してトリ
ス（メチルトリグリコール）フェニルシランを得る。 該カラムの頂部からエタノール１１６．２夕（計算値１
斑夕）を除去する。真空蒸後、渡過して生成物５５０．
６夕（９２．５％）を得る。元素分析（％）実測値：Ｓ
ｉ、５．０６：計算値：１、４．７３前記実施例１また
は４と同様にしてさらに種々の化合物の製造を行なった
。 その結果を第１表に示す。第１表 注〕 ＊：分子量約２４３と考えられる市販のエチレン
／ブロピレングリコール浪合のモノメチルェーブルｏ＊
＊：反応にピリジンを用いない。 塩化水素は最初の工程で５時間、第２工程で３６．５時
間窒素Ｋより追い出す。注〕＊＊＊：実測値、計算値は
いずれも０各生成物の効果を、油圧系にもっともよく用
いられる３種のゴムについて試験した。 Ｇ９はスチレンープタジェン合成ゴムで「１２０ｑｏで
３日間加熱した。 Ｒ３２は天然ゴム、Ａ７９はアクリロニトリル合成ゴム
で、これら２つは７０午０で３日間加熱した。 試験の前後、この検体を水中で加熱してその体積の増加
を測定した。この試験の結果、一４０℃における粘度お
よびジルピン（Ｇｉｌｐｉｎ）ウェットペーパーロック
テスト（３泌）の結果を第２表に示す。第２表 〔注〕 対照１：ＤＴＤ５８５鍵油 対照２：トリプロピレングリコールモノ メチル 対照３：トリェチレングリコールモノメ チルエーテル 作動油において、前記化合物が広範囲な割合で有用なこ
とを示すためつぎの２種の油を処方した。 処方例 Ａ 実施例６の生成物 ９０％トリ
エチレングリコール １０％この油の
−４０ｏｏにおける粘度は１１４＄Ｓで、ジルピンウエ
ツトペーパーロック（３のＺ）は１９１℃であった。 処方例 Ｂ 実施例１０の生成物 ５０％トリ
エチレングリコールモノメチルエーテル５０％この油の
一４０こ０における粘度は１００比Ｓで、ジルピンウエ
ツトペーパーロック（３私）は１３３℃であった。 処方例 Ｃ 実施例１２の生成物 ３０％トリ
ヱチレングリコールモノメチルエーテル７０％この油の
−４ぴ０における粘度は７４７ｃＳで、ジルピンウエツ
トベーバーロツク（３の【）は１３７０であった。 また、これら３種の油はいずれも、 ＳＡＥＪ１７０班仕様の耐水性およびＳＢＲカップテス
トを満足するものであった。

Claims (1)

  1. 【特許請求の範囲】 １ 添加剤、ベース油またはベース油混合成分として、
    式：▲数式、化学式、表等があります▼ 〔式中、（ａ）Ｒはアリール；（ｂ）Ｘは式：▲数式、
    化学式、表等があります▼▲数式、化学式、表等があり
    ます▼ または ▲数式、化学式、表等があります▼ （式中、Ｒは前記と同じ；Ｒ′は後記と同じ；Ｒ＾２は
    各々水素、メチルまたはエチル、ただし、Ｒ＾２のいず
    れかがメチルまたはエチルの場合、隣接する炭素原子に
    結合するＲ＾２は水素；Ｒ＾３は水素またはアルキル；
    Ｒ＾４はジオールまたはポリオール残基；Ｒ＾６はＲま
    たはアルキル；ｎは整数を意味する）で示される基のい
    ずれか１つ；（ｃ）Ｒ′は、各々前記式〔Ａ〕で示され
    る基、アルキル、アリールまたは式：−Ｏ−Ｒ＾５（式
    中、Ｒ＾５はアルキルを意味し、もし他にＲ＾５が存在
    する場合は同一でも異なってもよい）で示される基を意
    味する。 ただし、該化合物は式−Ｏ−Ｒ＾４−Ｏ−または▲数式
    、化学式、表等があります▼ （式中、 Ｒ＾２、Ｒ＾４およびｎは前記と同じである）で示され
    る基を少なくとも１つ有する〕で示されるグリコール置
    換アリールシランを含有することを特徴とする作動油組
    成物。
