Description
【発明の詳細な説明】
この発明は、主軸ヘッドに一定の循環回動軌跡に沿って
移動自在な多数の工具ホルダ群を装備するとともに、一
定位置にある工具ホルダと主軸との間で工具を差替え交
換する工具交換アームを設けたマシニングセンターの工
具交換装置の改良に関する。

近年、マシニングセンターの省力化に伴い、マシニング
センターをＮＣ制御で加工用工具を自動的に取替えられ
るようにして長時間無人運転できるようにしたり、１台
のマシニングセンタ（多種類の加工が行なえるようにす
る傾向にある。

このため１種々の加工用工具を多数収容し、これを自動
交換するための工具交換装置が普及してきている。とこ

１４８６号に見られるように６円形もしくは長円形の循
環回動軌跡に沿って工具ホルダを一列伏に配列したもの
であったため。

し、主軸ヘッドの大きさによって工具の保持数が限られ
るものであった。

工具ホルダ６は、第２図に示すように１回転テーブル５
への取付はポス６ａに対して軸心２２周りに回転自在に
構成されるとともに、この回転軸心Ｐ２に対して対称位
置の内外三箇所に設けた工具受部に各種の工具７がそれ
ぞれテーパーシャンク８を介して差込み保持されている

又、主軸ヘッド乙の下面には、上下動並びに旋回自在な
工具交換アーム９が装備されており、このアーム９の両
端は前記テーパー７ヤンク８に形成した環状溝１０に側
方から係合する形状に構成され、かつ、アーム９先端が
倒伏した工具ホルダ６の直下と主軸２の直下に亘って旋
回移動できるようになっている。

次に、工具交換作動について説明すると、各工具ホルダ
は円形循環回動軌跡の最下端位置でのみ垂下姿勢に倒伏
駆動されるものでアリ、この倒伏垂下された工具ホルダ
６に対して工具交換アーム９が所定のレベルで旋回する
ことで、アーム先端によって内外に位置する工具７のう
ちの一方のテーパーシャンク８が保合保持される。続い
て工具交換アーム９が下降して保持したテーパーシャン
ク８を工具ホルダ６から下方に引抜いたのち旋回し、主
軸２の直下位置において再び上昇し、主軸２の下端にテ
ーパーシャンク８が差込み保持される。その後アーム９
が逆方向に旋回して主軸６のチー ７＜−シャンク８か
ら外される。

６に対して工具交換アーム９が所定のレベルで旋回する

て工具交換アーム９が下降して保持したテーパーシャン
ク８を工具ホルダ６から下方に引抜いたのち旋回し、主
軸２の直下位置において再び上昇し、主軸２の下端にテ
ーパーシャンク８が差込み保持される。その後アーム９
が逆方向に旋回して主軸６のチー ７＜−シャンク８か
ら外される。
又、主軸２から工具７を外すときは、逆の作動がなされ
、かつ、工具交換アーム９の両端で工具ホルダ６への工
具交換と主軸２への工具交換が同時に行われる。

又、工具ホルダ６が１８０’自転駆動されることで、内
外のいずれかの工具７を選択して交換したり取出すこと
ができる。

尚、工具ホルダ６を循環移動させる手段としてハ１回転
テーブル５を用いる他にチェーンコンベアを用いて任意
の形状の循環回動軌跡で移動させるもよい。

以上説明したように１本発明によるマシニングセンター
の工具交換装置は、一定の循環回動軌跡に沿って移動す
る工具ホルダの内外三箇所に設けた工具受部に工具を差
込み保持可能に構成するとともに、この工具ホルダを取
出し姿勢に回動させてから回転させることにより内外い
ずれかの工具を選択して交換・取出しを可能にしである
ので。

Claims (1)
- １、主軸ヘッド６に一定の循環回動軌跡に潜って移動自
在な多数の工具ホルダ６群を装備する七ともに、一定位
置にある工具ボルダ６七王軸２との間で工具７を差替え
交換する工具交換アーム９を設けたマシニングセンター
ノ工具交換装置において、前記各工具ホルダ乙の内外２
箇所に工具受部を設け、これら受部に工具７を差込み保
持可能に構成するとともに、各工具ホルダ６を回転可能
に構成してその内外いづれかの工具７を選択して交換・
取出し可能に構成したことを特徴とするマシニングセン
ターの工具交換装置
