Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve assembling workability by connecting the rear lower edge of a front fender to the side of a car body framework member and covering the said joint section with a chipping protector section that is formed on a splash guard in one body. CONSTITUTION:The rear lower edge 4 of a front fender 1 is secured to the lower end outer side of a front pillar 7 that is connected to the front end of a side sill using a bolt/nut 8. In addition, a chipping protector section 11 consisting of a side wall 12 and a bottom wall 13 is integratedlly formed on a splash guard 10 that is secured to the rear edge of the arch section 2 of the front fender 1. The chipping protector section 11 presses-in and hooks a snap member 14 provided on the rear face of the side wall 12 in the fixing hole 1a of the fender 1 and is secured to the car body side by hooking a hooking section 15 provided at the terminal of the bottom wall 13 on the lower end 6a of the side sill 6. The protector section 11 covers the joint section of the bolt/nut 8.

Description

シル6にボルト・ナツト8固定するようにしている。こ
のフェンダ後部下縁4はサイドシル6と一体感を出すた
めに、図示のように前部下縁5に軟べて下方に大きく延
長してあシ、この後部下縁4をフロントピラー7に接合
したサイドシル6の前つ1M部下面に廻シ込ませて、該
下面にボルト・ナツト8固定し、ボルト・ナット8固定
部が外f5μから露見されないように体裁を整えである
。なお、第1,2図中9はフロントバンパー、10はア
ーチ部2の後縁部に装着したゴム、樹脂等の弾性材から
なるスプラッシュガードを示す。

部下縁の結合部分をサイドシル前端部下面に亘って1≦

孔1aに圧入、係着して取付けであると共に、底壁1;
3端末に一体成形したフック部15をサイドジノR6の
下縁フランジ6aに係着して固定しである。

に亘ってチッピングプロテクタ部11で係挿されている

前部下縁5と略同−高さに形成することもできるため、
パネル材の板取りがよく製造歩留りを高めてコストダウ
