    【実用新案登録請求の範囲】
  1. エンジンのシリンダボアの所定位置に開口した小孔を介
    して該シリンダに所定の容積を有する副室を連通接続し
    、該副室内に圧縮ガスの一部を導入させて低速回転域に
    おける圧縮比を低減させる副室を備える内燃エンジンに
    おいて、前記副室の底面をシリンダボアの所定位置に開
    口する前記小孔の中心位置より上方に位置させたことを
    特徴とする副室を備えた内燃エンジン。
