Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 本発明は新規なブレーキ液組成物に関するものである。
さらに詳しくは耐金属腐食性の良好な自動車用ブレーキ
液組成物に関するものである。
近年自動車の高速化および大型化が進み、一方ではより
一層の安全化が強調されており、これに伴ないブレーキ
液の性能もより高度なものが望まれている。
又最近では安全性の面から考えてブレーキ液の初期物性
より経時物性が重視される傾向にある。
例えば、平衡還流沸点（ＥｑｕｉｌｉｂｒｉｕｍＲｅｆ
ｌｕｘ Ｂｏｉｌｉｎｇ ｐｏｉｎｔ、以下初期沸点と
いう）をとってみても長期間にわたってブレーキ液の第
一義的な役割であるペーパーロックを起こさないという
観点から、米国ではＤＯＴ−３およびＤＯＴ−４という
規格で湿潤時の平衡沸点（以下湿沸点という）なる規格
を設けており、特に現行の汎用ブレーキ液ではＤＯＴ−
４規格における湿沸点（１５５℃く）を満足することは
困難とされている。
この問題を解決すべく提唱されたものが現在の汎用基材
として使用されているグリコールモノエーテルを硼酸エ
ステル化したものまたはこれにアルカノールアミン（モ
ノ、ジ、およびトリエタノールアミン他）などの防錆剤
を加えたものである。
しかしながらこのような基材は湿沸点に関してはほぼ満
足できるもの＼耐金属腐食性に関しては満°足できるも
のではなかった。
我々は硼酸エステルと脂環式アミンのアルキレンオキシ
ド付加物とを組合せろことによって硼酸エステルの湿沸
点を引上げるという効果の他に従来のブレーキ液では得
られなかった非常に良好な耐金属腐食試験結果を示すと
５もに、この良好な耐金属腐食性は長期間（試験条件は
１００℃Ｘ２０００時間、通常のＪＩＳ Ｋ−２２３
３およびＤＯＴ３又は４の試験条件は１００℃×１２０
時間）にわたって持続し同時に経時でも沸点降下が小さ
いという優れた効果を奏することを見出し本発明を完成
するに至った。
すなわち、本発明は次の（ａ）または、（ａ）と（ｂ）
、 （ｃ）ならびに（ｄ）のうちの少なくとも一種か
らなる硼酸エステル含有基材（Ａ）９９．５〜９５重量
係お世襲シクロヘキシルアミンまたはジシクロヘキシル
アミンのアルキレンオキサイド付加物（Ｂ）０．５〜５
重量係世襲なるブレーキ液組成物。
（ａ） （り〜（１１Ｄのうちの少なくとも一種と０
ψとの反応生成物。

（Ｂ）としてはシクロヘキシルアミン、ジシクロヘキシ
ルアミンから選ばれる脂環式モノアミンのアルキ５レン
オキサイドがあげられる。
またアルキレンオキシドとしてはエチレンオキシド（Ｅ
Ｏ）、プロピレンオキシド（ ＰＯ ）、ブチレンオキ
シドおよびこれらの二種以上のものがあげられる。
アルキレンオキシドの付加モル数は通常１〜１０。
好ましくは１〜３である。
脂環式アミンのアルキレンオキシド付加物としてはＮ−
モノエタノールシクロヘキシルアミン、Ｎ，Ｎ−ジェタ
ノールシクロヘキシルアミン、Ｎ−モノイソプロパツー
ルシクロヘキシルアミン、Ｎ，Ｎ−ジイソプロパツール
シクロヘキシルアミン、Ｎ−モノエタノールジシクロヘ
キシルアミン、Ｎ−モノイソプロパツールジシクロヘキ
シルアミンなどの脂環式モノアミンのアルキレンオキシ
ド付加物があげられる。
これらのうち好ましいものは脂環式モノアミンのＥＯま
たはＰＯ付加物であり、とくに好ましいものはＮ−モノ
エタノールシクロヘキシルアミン、Ｎ，Ｎ−ジェタノー
ルシクロヘキシルアミンである。
脂環式アミンのアルキレンオキシド付加物は通常の方法
で脂環式アミンにアルキレンオキシドを付加させること
により容易に得られる。
アルキレンオキシドを二種以上用いて付加させる場合は
ランダム、ブロック付加のいずれかでもよい。
本発明で用いられる硼酸エステル含有基材（５）として
は下記（ａ）または、（ａ）と（ｂ） 、 （ｃ）なら
びに（ｄ）のうちの少くとも一種とからなるものがあげ
られる。
（ａ） （ｉ）〜曲）のうちの少なくとも一種と（ｉ
Ｖ）との反応生成物 （１）式（１）で示されるポリグリコールモノエーテル ただし、Ｒ１：Ｃ１〜Ｃ４のアルキル基、Ａ１：Ｃ２〜
Ｃ３のアルキレン基、ｍ：２〜８の数（１１）式（２）
で示されるポリグリコールただし、Ａ２：Ｃ２〜Ｃ３の
アルキレン基、ｎ：２〜１０の数 （ｉｉｉ） 式（３）で示されるポリオキシアルキレ
ンモノまたはポリオール ただし、Ｒ２：Ｃ１〜Ｃ８のモノまたはポリオールの残
基、 Ａ３：Ｃ２〜Ｃ３アルキレン基、Ｐ： １〜４の数、ｑ
： （ｉｉ＋）が分子量１０００〜５０００になる数
（ＩＶ）硼酸エステル形成能を有する硼素化合物（ｂ）
式（４）で示されるポリグリコールモノエーテルた
だし、Ｒ３：Ｃ１〜Ｃ４のアルキル基、Ａ４：Ｃ２〜Ｃ
３のアルキレン基、ａ：２〜８の数（Ｃ） 式（５）
で示されるポリグリコールただし、Ａ５：Ｃ２〜Ｃ３ア
ルキレン基、ｂ：２〜１０の数 （ｄ） 式（６）で示されるポリオキシアルキレンモ
ノまたはポリオール ただし、Ｒ４：Ｃ１〜Ｃ８のモノまたはポリオール残基
、Ａ６ ： Ｃ２〜Ｃ３のアルキレン基、ｄ：１〜４の
数、Ｃ： （ｄり分子量が１０００〜５０００になる数 硼酸エステル含有基材（５）において、（ａ）の反応生
成物の合成に用いられる（ｉ）のポリグリコールモノエ
ーテルとしては例えばジエチレングリコール、トリエチ
レングリコール、テトラエチレングリコール、ペンタエ
チレングリコール、ヘキサエチレンクリコール、ヘプタ
エチレングリコール、オクタエチレングリコール、ジプ
ロピレングリコール、トリプロピレングリコール、テト
ラプロピレングリコールやエチレングリコール、ジエチ
レンクリコール、トリエチレングリコールおよびテトラ
エチレングリコールなどのＰＯ付加物（１〜５モル）な
どのポリアルキレングリコールのモノメチル、モノエチ
ル、モノプロピル（ｎ−、ｓ、ｏ−）およびモノブチル
（ｎ”−、１ｓｏ−、５ｅｃ−およびｔｅｒｔ−）エー
テルおよびそれらの混合物があげられる。
これらのうちで好ましいものはジエチレングリコール七
ツメチルエーテル、トリエチレングリコールモノメチル
エーテル、テトラエチレングリコールモノメチルエーテ
ル、ペンタエチレングリコールモノメチルエーテル、ヘ
キサエチレングリコールモノメチルエーテル、トリエチ
レングリコールモノエチルエーテル、トリエチレングリ
コールモノブチルエーテル、テトラエチレングリコール
モノエチルエーテル、テトラエチレングリコールモノブ
チルエーテル、ジエチレングリコール七ツメチルエーテ
ルまたはトリエチレングリコールモノエチルエーテルの
ＰＯの１〜３モノ付加物である。
とくに好ましいものはトリエチレングリコールモノメチ
ルエーテル、トリエチレングリコールモノエチルエーテ
ル、トリエチレングリコールモノブチルエーテル、テト
ラエチレングリコールモノメチルエーテル、テトラエチ
レングリコールモノエチルエーテル、テトラエチレング
リコールモノブチルエーテルである。
（１ｉ）のポリグリコールとしてはジエチレングリコー
ル、トリエチレングリコール、テトラエチレングリコー
ル、ポリエチレングリコール（平均分子量２００〜３０
０）□、トリプロピレングリコール、ポリプロピレング
リコール（平均分子量２００〜４００）、エチレングリ
コールまたはジエチレングリコールのエチレンオキサイ
ド（ＥＯ）及びＰＯ付加物（ランダムまたはブロック）
およびこれらの混合物があげられる。
これらのうちで好ましいものはジエチレングリコール、
トリエチレングリコールおよびポリエチレングリコール
（平均分子量２００〜３００）である。
本発明において、分子量は数平均分子量であり、ヒドロ
キシル価を測定することによって得られるものである。
（ｉｉｉ）のポリオキシアルキレンモノまたはポリオー
ル（一価または多価アルコール）としては、メタノール
、エタノール、プロパツール、ブタノールなどのモノオ
ール（一価アルコール）のＥＯ・ＰＯシランム付加物、
エチレングリコール、プロピレンクリコール、グリセリ
ン、トリメチロールプロパン、ペンタエリスリトールな
どのポリオール（多価アルコール）のＰＯ付加物、上記
ポリオールのＥＯ・ＰＯシランム付加物があげられる。
これらのうち好ましいものは、ブタノールのＥＯ・ＰＯ
シランム付加物、グリセリンのＰＯ付加物、グリセリン
のＥＯ・ＰＯシランム付加物である。
Ｇ１１）のポリオキシアルキレンモノまたはポリオール
の分子量は１０００〜５０００である。
分子量が１０００未満では高温において充分な潤滑性を
有するブレーキ液組成物が得られない。
また分子量が５０００をこえると低温（−４０°Ｃ）で
の動粘度が大きくなる。
式（３）において、Ｒ２は０１〜Ｃ８のモノまたはポリ
オールの残基であるが、こＮで残基とはモノまたはポリ
オール中のＯＨ基を除いた基をいう。
また６′Ｖ）の硼酸エステル形成能を有する硼素化合物
としては無水硼酸、オルト・硼酸およびメタ硼酸があげ
られ好ましくは無水硼酸である。
（ａ）の反応生成物は通常、（１）〜（ｉｉｉ）Ｏうち
の少なくとも一種と（ＩＶ）とを減圧下（たとえば１０
０〜１ｒＩＬ１ｇ）で加熱（たとえば５０〜２００℃）
とすることによって容易に合成できる。
上記反応生成物は通常下記一般式（４）で示される硼酸
エステルを含有する。
（たゾしｘ、ｙ、ｚは独立に０または１〜３の整数で、
ｘ ＋ ｙ ＋ ｚ ＝ ３、その他の記号は特許請求
の範囲で説明したものとおなしである）（ｂ）のポリグ
リコールモノエーテルとしては（１）の説明でのべたも
のとおなしものがあげられる。
本発明のブレーキ液組成物において、（ｂ）と（ｉ）と
はそれぞれ独立に選択することができる。
（おなし化合物を使用してもよく、ことなった化合物を
使用してもよい。
）（ｃ）のポリグリコールとしても（１１）の説明での
べたものとおなしものがあげられる。
また（Ｃ）と（ｉｔ）ともそれぞれ独立に選択すること
ができる。
（ｄ）のポリオキシアルキレンモノまたはポリオールも
Ｇｖ）の説明でのべたものとおなしものがあげられる。
また（ｄ）と（ｉｖ）ともそれぞれ独立に選択すること
ができる。
本発明における硼酸エステル含有基材（Ａ）は（ａ犀独
かまたは（ａ）と（ｂ） 、 （Ｃ）ならびに（ｄ）Ｏ
うちの少なくとも一種とからなるものであり、該基材（
５）中の硼素含有量は０．１〜４．６重量係、好ましく
は０．２〜１．６重量係である。
硼酸含有量が０．１％未満では耐金属腐食性が低下する
。
・また４１．６％をこえると高粘度になる。
硼酸エステル含有基材中における（ａ） 、 （ｂ）
ｔ （Ｃ）および（ｄｋ７）配合割合はとくに限定され
ないが、好ましくは（ａ）の（ｉ）と（ｂ）が０〜９０
重量係、世襲）の（！：）と（ｃ）が０〜５０重量係、
世襲）の曲）と（ｄ’）が０〜２０重量係で世襲。
硼酸エステル含有基材（Ａ）の製造方法はとくに限定さ
れない。
たとえば（ｉ ） 、 （ｉｉ）および（ｉｉｉ）のう
ちの少くとも一種と（ｉＶ）とを混合しこれを反応させ
未反応物を（ｂ）、５ｃ）および（ｄ）として該基材（
５）を得てもよくまた（ｉ）、（ｉｉ）および（ｉｉｉ
）のうちの少くとも一種と（ｉｖｌとを反応させ（ａ）
を得て、（ｂ） 、（ｃ）および（ｄ）のうちの少くと
も一種を後から加えて該基材（５）を得てもよい。
本発明のブレーキ液組成物は（Ａ）および（Ｂ）からな
り（５）、（Ｂ）の配合割合は好ましくは（Ａ） ９９
．５〜９５重量係、世襲）は０．５〜５重量係世襲る。
（Ｂ）が０．５重量係未満の場合は耐金属腐食性が不充
分となり５重量係をこえると粘度が高くなる。
（５）と（Ｂ）との配合法はとくに限定されず例えば（
５）と（Ｂ）とを混合してもよく、また（８）のうちの
一部、例えば（ａ）と（Ｂ）とを混合したのち（ｂ）
、 （ｃ）および（ｄ）のうちの少くとも一種をさらに
配合してもよい。
本発明のブレーキ液組成物には添加剤を加えることがで
きる。
このような添加剤としてはフェニルαナフチルアミン、
ジ−ｎ−ブチルアミン、２゜４−ジメチル−６−ｔｅｒ
ｔ−ブチルフェノール、４．４−ブチリデンビス（６−
ｔｅｒｔ−ブチルメタクレゾール）などの酸化防止剤、
アルカノールアミン（モノ、ジおよびトリエタノールア
ミンなど）、モルホリン、Ｎ−エタノールモルホリン、
シクロヘキシルアミン、ベンゾトリアゾールおよびメル
カプトベンゾトリアゾールなどの防錆剤；２，４−ジメ
チル−６−ｔｅｒｔ−ブチルフェノールなどのゴム老化
防止剤；モノ、ジおよびトリエタノールアミンなどのｐ
Ｈ調整剤があげられる。
添加剤の添加量は組成物中で通常０〜１０重量鍬好まし
くは０．１〜５重量係世襲る。
本発明のブレーキ液組成物は銅、黄銅、アルミニウム、
ブリキ板、鋳鉄、銅などの金属に対して良好な耐金属腐
食性を有する。
本発明のブレーキ液組成物は粘度特性、耐熱性耐寒性、
耐ゴム膨潤性等のブレーキ液に要求される特性を具備し
ていることは勿論、従来の汎用ブレーキ液に比して長期
間使用しても沸点降下が少なくかつ耐金属腐食性、防錆
性に優れた高品質のブレーキ液である。
以下実施例により更に詳細な説明を加えるが本発明はこ
れに限定されるものではない。
実施例中の係は重世襲を示す。
実施例 １ 下記の成分および割合を有する混合物を混合、溶解し本
発明のブレーキ液組成物を得た。
（注１）硼酸エステル含有基材Ａ 下記の成分および割合を有する混合物の１２０℃、７ｍ
ｍＨｇでの反応生成物。
グリセリンＥＯ−ＰＯランダム付加物 ３係（ＥＯ
／ＰＯ＝５０１５０重量比、平均分子量２８００）実施
例 ２ 下記の成分および割合を有する混合物を混合、溶溶解し
、′本発明のブレーキ液組成物を得た。
（注２）硼酸エステル含有基材Ｂ 下記の成分および割合を有する混合物の１５０℃、４ｍ
ｍＨｇでの反応生成物。
Ｂ２Ｏ３４，５係 実施例 ３ 本発明のブレーキ液組成物２種（実施例１および２で得
られたもの）および比較のブレーキ液３種（比較品Ａ、
ＢおよびＣ１何れも従来のグリコールエーテル系ブレー
キ液）についてＤＯＴ−４タイプのブレーキ液に必要な
主な項目についての試験を行い、その結果を表−１に示
す。
次に耐金属腐食性を金属腐食試験を行うことによりしら
べた。
金属腐食試験はＤＯＴまたはＪＩＳにより試験（１００
℃×１２０時間）および該試験よりさらに過酷な試験（
１００℃Ｘ２０００時間）により行った。
結果をそれぞれ表−２および表−３に示す。

Claims (1)

  1. 【特許請求の範囲】 １ 次の（ａ）または、（ａ）と（ｂ） 、 （ｃ）な
    らびに（ｄ）のうちの少なくとも一種からなる硼酸エス
    テル含有基材（Ａ）９９．５〜９５重量％およびジクロ
    ヘキシルアミンまたはジシクロヘキシルアミンのアルキ
    レンオキサイド付加物（Ｂ） ０．５〜５重量係世襲な
    るブレーキ液組成物。 （ａ） （り〜曲）のうちの少なくとも一種と（ＩＶ
    ）との反応生成物 （１）式（１）で示されるポリグリコールモノエーテル ２〜１０の数。 （ｉｊｉＪ 式（３）で示されるポリオキシアルキレ
    ンモノまたはポリオール。 ただし、Ｒ，： Ｃ７〜Ｃ４のアルキル基、Ａ、：Ｃ２
    〜Ｃ３のアルキレン基、ｍ：２〜８の数。 （１１）式（２）で示されるポリグリコールただし、Ａ
    ２：Ｃ２〜Ｃ３のアルキレン基、ｎ：ただし、Ｒ２：
    Ｃ，〜Ｃ８めモノまたはポリオールの残基、Ａ３ ：
    Ｃ２〜Ｃ３のアルキレン基、ｐ：ｌ〜４の数、Ｑ：（ｉ
    ｉ肋５分子量１０００〜５０００になる数。 （ＩＶ）硼酸エステル形成能を有する硼素化合物。 （ｂ） 式（４）で示されるポリグリコールモノエー
    テルただし、Ｒ３：Ｃ１〜Ｃ４のアルキル基、Ａ４：Ｃ
    ２〜Ｃ３のアルキレン基、ａ：２〜８の数。 （ｃ） 式（５）で示されるポリグリコール。 ただし、Ａ５：Ｃ２〜Ｃ３のアルキレン基、ｂ＝２〜１
    ０の数。 （ａ） 式（６）で示されるポリオキシアルキレンモ
    ノまたはポリオール。 ただし、Ｒ４：Ｃ１〜Ｃ８のモノまたはポリオール残基
