Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 本発明は生理用ナプキン、特に、多層折込み式吸収性構
成要素を持つ生理用ナプキン（こ関する。
最近になって、熱可塑性材料を有する吸収層を含む生理
用ナプキンか吸収体として普通のセルロース材料だけを
利用しているナプキン（こ比べて成る種の利点を持つこ
とかわかった。熱可塑性材料が存在すると、吸収体に弾
力性が加わり、熱可塑性材料とセルロース材料を混ぜ合
わせたとき（こセルロース材料の毛管がつぶれるのを防
ぐ傾向か生しる。生理用として熱可塑性材料をセルロー
ス材料と一緒に利用することに触れている特許の例とし
ては、Ｇｅｏｒｇｅ　Ａ、Ｍ、　Ｂｕｔｔｅｒｗｏｒｔ
ｈ　等に−６１された米国特許第４，０８２，８８１（
号および４．＋２！３，１３２号、Ｈａｒｒｙ　Ｇ、Ｆ
ｉｔｚｇｅｌａｌｄ等に許された米国特許第３，９７８
．０７４号、Ｊｕｌｉｕｓ　Ｓｃｈｗａｉｇｅｒ等に許
された米国特許第４，０５４，１４１号、Ｈａｍｚｅｈ
　Ｋａｒａｍｉに許された米国特許第４，０４７，５３
１号、Ｇｕｎｎａｒ　Ｇｒａｖ（ｉａｈｌに許された米
国特許＠３，５４５，４４１号、Ｄｏｎａｌｄ　Ｐａｔ
ｉｅｎｃｅ等に許された米国特訪第４，２１８，０２４
号がある。
これらの米国特許は、多層吸収体を持つ生理用ナプキン
の概念についても記載している。
各層が折込みによって形成されている多層吸収体を持つ
生理用ナプキンか折込み区域での当りを柔らかにするば
かりでなく、ゆがみを防いだり、弾力性を高めたりする
ことも最近になってわかった。これらの特徴は、熱可塑
性繊維を折込み吸収性バット全体にわたって利用したと
きに顕著になる。熱可塑性繊維が存在すると１個々の折
込み部かあることによって耐圧縮性が高まる。この点を
考えると、熱可塑性繊維を持つ吸収性７ヘツトを繰返し
折重ねたナプキンは上記の特徴のないものよりもかなり
当りが柔らかになるはずである。
しかしながら、熱可塑性繊維を利用した場合、特にこれ
らの繊維が弾力性を加えるほどの量存在しているときに
は全体的に吸収性を低下させるのか許通である。
本発明によれば、吸収性バントか各長手方向縁に沿って
内方に折込まれ、さらに折畳まれて３つの別個の吸収層
を形成し、第１層を形成している吸収性ハラＩ・の頂を
覆って延在しかつ吸収性ハントで形成された多数の層の
折畳み部分を覆って延在するように液体透過ラップが設
けである生理用ナプキンを得ることができる。本発明の
ナプキンは、着用者の身体に当ることになっているナプ
キン部分を除いてすべての区域において吸収性パントと
ランプの間に液体不透過性バッフルを使用している。
以ド、添伺図面を参照しながら本発明を説明する。
図面を参照してわかるように、生理用ナプキンは、Ｌ方
吸収層１４ａを有する第１の吸収性ノ１ント１４と、北
方吸収層１４ａをその両側辺の各長手方向軸線に沿って
折込んで形成した２つの同形の脚部からなる第２の吸収
層１４ｂと、吸収層１４ｂをさらに折込んでその脚部を
覆って延在するように形成した２つの別個の脚部を有す
る第３の吸収層１４Ｃとを備えている。
吸収性パット１４は熱可塑性材お１を含んでおり、この
熱可塑性材用はりｒ力性を加える。この弾力性は折込み
部１４ａ、１４ｂによって多重層を形成したことによっ
て加えられる。熱可塑性材料のパーセンテージはこの層
において１０ないし１００％の範囲にある。
第１．２図に示す特別の実施例では、中間の吸収層１５
が設けである。この中間吸収層１５は吸収性バラ）１４
に比べて吸収能力が大きい。吸収性ハツト１４に固有の
弾力性が特に高いレベルにあるため、この中間吸収層１
５についてその大きな範囲にわたって弾力性を考慮する
必要はない。
中間吸収層１５は普通の木材パルプあるいはスーパーア
ブンーベントのような比較的吸収性の高いものであれば
とれでもよい。特に好ましい材料としては、界面活性剤
処理し、メルトブロー加工した微小繊維ウェブかあり、
これは米国特許第４，３７２．３１２しに記載されてい
る。このウェブは、液体案内能力か高く、単独でもスー
パーアブンーベント木材パルプ繊維などと組合わせても
使用することができる。
第１図を参照して、う、プｌＯはハツト１４の層１４ａ
の上にあり、各折込み部１４　ａのまわりに延在してお
り、さらに、層１４ｂを構成している各脚部の外面部、
すなわち底面部を覆いかつ各折込んだ部分１４ｂを覆っ
て延在し、Ｗｊ　ｔ　４　Ｃの内端で終っている。
内部／ヘラフル２２がラップ１０と吸収層１４の間に位
置している。ただし、この内部八ツフル２２は、少なく
とも着用者の会陰部に対応する区域における／ヘット頂
面のところにはない。内部バッフル２２はバット１４の
側部に沿う液体流路を形成していてバットからの漏洩を
抑えると共に、層１５が吸収しきれない液体を保持する
ように作用する。
バッフルはこの技術分野で公知の熱ｉＪｒ塑性材料であ
ればどれで作ってもよく、その特定のＭｌ或は本発明と
は関係ない。第１．２図に示すように、ラップ１０は超
音波融着などによって１１のところで層１４に接合して
吸収層１４ａを通る液体案内能力を高めることができる
。
第１．２ＶＡに示す実施例は第２のパンフル１６を備え
ており、この第２バツフルは本発明の好ましい実施例の
ナプキンの構造安定性を、☆ｉめる。第２図でもっと明
瞭にわかるように、第２ハンフル１６は３木の接着剤線
１７とφｊ離ライナ１８とを有する。ナプキンは、自由
タブ端１３を歿すように、熱可塑性ラップ材料１２上の
輪郭のはっきりした区域として示す超音波手段によって
両端を片道の要領でシールする。
本発明によるナプキンは、好ましくは、不織布ラップ上
に熱可塑性バッフルを区分同時押出することによって作
られる。この方法は、たとえｔｆ、米国特許第３．３５
Ｊ５５６号に記載しであるが１本発明はこれに限らない
。
パンフルは、もちろん、ストリ・ンプ状番こ切断し、接
着したり、融着したりしてもよい。ノ＜’ｙト１４を適
当にパンフル・う・ンプの組合わせ体の上に置き、それ
を−・緒に各縁に沿って２回折畳み、図示の構造とする
。付加的な吸収層１５を用ｌ／Ｘたい場合には、もちろ
ん、それを折畳み段階で挿入する・
【図面の簡単な説明】 第１図は本発明による生理用ナプキンの部分断面斜視図
であり、第２図は第１図の２−２線（こ沿った側断面図

Claims (5)

    【特許請求の範囲】
  1. （１）、　はぼ平行な長手方向の折込み縁を有する細長
    い生理用ナプキンであって、 ａ）３つの水平方向配置の層を持つ第１の外回・粘性繊
    維入りの吸収性バットを有し、このパントか、 １）連続面を持つｙｊｌの層と、 ２）この第１層を各長手動線に沿って 内力に折込むことによって形成された、バットの長しカ
    向中心に向って内方に延びる脚部を持つ第２の層と、 ３）前記第１、第２の層の間に位置 し、前記第２層の脚部の上に位置して長手方向中心から
    前記ナプキンの各長手方向縁に向って延びている脚であ
    って、前記第２層を内方に折返すことによって形成され
    た脚部を有し、この内向き折返し部がバットの長手力量
    中心付近で互いに接近している第３の層と を右し、 ｂ）前記第１層、前記第２層の脚部を形成している前記
    折込み部の末端部および前記第３層の脚部を形成してい
    る御込み部の外部を覆い、この第３層の前記脚部の端で
    終っている液体透過ラップを有し、 Ｃ）前記第１層の少なくとも中心部の１−に位置するラ
    ップ部分を除いて前記ランプと前記吸収性バットの間に
    位置する液体不透過性バッフルを有する ことを特徴とする生理用ナプキン。
  2. （２）、　特許請求の範囲第１項記載のナプキンにおい
    て、前記第３層を形成している折込み部か互いに取付け
    であることを特徴とするナプキン。
  3. （３）、　特許請求の範囲第１頃または第２ダ１記載の
    ナプキンにおいて、前記第１吸収性ハントの前記第１、
    第３の層の間に第２の吸収性ハラ［・か挿設しであるこ
    とを特徴とするナプキン。
  4. （４）、　特許請求の範囲第１項または第２項記載のナ
    プキンにおいて、第２の液体不透過性ハラフルか取付け
    てあり、前記第２層の脚部と前記第３層を形成している
    前記折込み部の上（こ位置していることを特徴とするナ
    プキン。
  5. （５）、　特許請求の範囲第１項記戦のナプキンにおい
    て、前記第１層に力／へ−か間隔を置し１て融着しであ
    ることを特徴とするナプキン。
