Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 本発明は光ディスク用記鍮媒体に関し、とくに高感度で
かつノイズ信号の少い再生信号が得られる光デイスク用
記録媒体に関する。
光デイスク用記録媒体(以下記録媒体という)Fi基板
面上に、記録層としてビスマス(Bi)?テルル(Te
)のような単体の薄膜を蒸着技術等により形成していた
そしてこの記録層にレーザビームのような光ビームを照
射して情報の記録、再生を行う。
しかし、これらの記録媒体では、現在の半導体レーザを
用いて、情報の記録を行うには、感度および8/N(信
号対雑音比)値の点から不十分でアリ、正確な再生情報
を得ることが困難であった。
本発明はかかる点に鑑みなされたもので、記録時におい
て十分な感度を有し、情報再生時には、 S/N値のす
ぐれた再生信号の得られる光ティスフ用記鍮媒体を提供
することを目的とする。
以下図面を参照しながら本発明の好ましい実施例につい
て説明する。
第1図は本発明の一実施例構成図であって、1はプラス
チック基板、2は一酸化シリコン(Sin)層(層厚5
0m)*3a銅フタロシアニン層(層厚20 wx )
 。
4tiテルル(Te)層(層厚301EII)である。
′なおTe融点?1450°C9銅フタロシアニンの融
点は400〜420°Cである。このような薄膜層は蒸
着技術により容易に形成できる。
第2図(a)(b)はこのようKして形成された記録媒
体を用いていわゆるエアーサンドイッチ構成とした光デ
ィスクである。
第2図(a)(b)において、5・6al対の記録円盤
であってスペーサ7・8を介して対向して配置さね1.
記録層5a、6aは、これら記録円盤5.6の対向面側
に設けられる。
この光ディスクを用いて、半導体レーザで情報の書込み
、読出しを行なった。光ディスクを1800rpTlで
回転させ、情報を記録したがこの時、レーザパワーの値
はディスク面上で4.2mW、また再生信号のS/N値
Fi46dBであり非常に良質の信号を得た。
第3図は1本発明の他の実施例構成図であって、第11
1と同等部分には同一符号を付した。第3図において9
ql酸化シリコン層(層厚5111Il)、であって銅
フタロシアン層3とテルル層4の間にも設けられている
ンドイッチ構造の光ディスクを作り、前述の半導体レー
ザを用い1800rpmで回転させつつ、情報の書込み
読出しを行った。このときのレーザパワー〇 [はデ4
y、り面上で4.5mW、再生信号の8/N値Fi48
dBであって非常に良質の信号が得られた。
このように情報書込みにおける高感度化の理由は。
書込み時における光ビーム照射による熱によって有機材
料層の有機材の高蒸発性により金属の溶融除去が助長さ
れるためと考えられる。
また再生信号における8/N値の改善の塩山は、薄いS
iO層によシ基板と記録層との間の界面張力が変化し、
レーザ照射によって形成される情報ピットの形状が整う
ためと考えられる。なお無機材料として前記Teの代わ
シにBi、Se、As等の低融点材料を用いてもよく、
又銅フタロシアニンの代わりにフルオレセインを用いて
もよい。
以上の説明から明らかなように本発明に係る光デイスク
用記録媒体は、高昇華性低融点有機材料層と低融点無機
材料層と一酸化シリコン層を設けたため高感度化ととも
にS/N値の改善が可能となった。

Claims (1)

  1. 【特許請求の範囲】 (1)基板と、該基板上に形成された記録層とを有し。 該記録層に光ビームを照射して情報の書込み、読出しを
    行うようにした記録媒体において、前記記録層が、無機
    材料層と、有機材料層とで形成されてなるとともに、該
    記録層と前記基板との間に一酸化シリコン(Sin)層
    を設けたことを特徴とする記録媒体0(2)前記無機材
    料層が低融点材料で形成され、前記有機材料層が高昇華
    性低融点材料で形成されてなることを特徴とする特許請
    求の範囲第11)項に記載の記録媒体。 (3)前記無機材料層と有機材料層間に一酸化シリコン
    層を設けたことを特徴とする特許請求の範囲第(1)項
    又は第(2)項に記載の記録媒体。
