CONSTITUTION:An agricultural and horticultural germicidal composition thiophanate-methyl (R is CH3 in the compund of formulaI) which is a germicide capable of exhibiting improved effects on the control of blights of grains, vegetables, fruit trees, flowering plants, etc. with high safety for men and cattle from the standpoint of the toxicity or thiophanate (R is C2H5 in the compound of formulaI) or benomyl (the compound of formula II) and a calcium compound as active constituents. Calcium chloride, calcium carbonate, calcium secondary phosphate, etc. may be used as the calcium compound. The mixture is directly or mixed with various carriers or assitants and formulated, and effective for controlling powdery mildew of cucumbers and tomatoes, gray mold of kidney beans, etc., and applied to the disinfection of seeds or soil.

する方法の解明は実用的に重要であり、そのためには同
一薬剤の連用を避け、作用機作の異なる薬剤との混用や
交互散布に使用することが一般に提唱されており、ある
程度成功している実例も少なくない。しかしながら、未
だ充分には解決されていない。

るに当っては、防除薬剤として使用し易くするために、
担体及び活性剤その他の添加物と混合することができ、
農薬の通常の使用形態、例えば、水和剤、乳剤、粒剤、
粉剤、フロアブル等の形態で使用することができる。使
用される担体としては例えばクレー、タルク、珪藻土、
ベントナイト、ホワイトカーボンなどが使用される。以
上の製品を水などで希釈し、あるいはそのま\散布する
ことが出来、本発明組成物を種子消毒や、土壌に施用す
ることも出来る。
