Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 本発明はフォーマット動作時におけるアドレスマーク（
ＡＭ）書込みを記録媒体上のギャップをカウントする、
二重化されたカウンタ回路出力にしたがって行なうデー
タ処理装置に関する。
従来のデータ処理装置においては、上記二重化されたカ
ウンタ回路部は同一回路構成である主カウンタ回路と補
助カウンタ回路と、これらカウンタ回路の全ビットの比
較チェックｔ［なう比較−数構出回路とを有し、どちら
か一方のカウンタ回路が故障したときは両カウンタ回路
の出力信号が不一致と々つでエラーを報告するだけの構
成であった。
また、ＡＭ書込みに関する回路に入力されるカウンタ出
力信号は主カウンタ回路から送出されていた。
さらに、ＡＭ書込み回路自身チェック回路を持っていな
かった。
そのため、主カウンタ回路が故障した場合にはＡＭ有：
込み回路に入力される信号は不正となり記録媒体上に書
込まれるＡＭは保証され々くなるとともに、書込みシー
ケンスが正常に終了したときは読出し動作あるいは検索
動作時点でレコート不検出のエラー報告がされて書込み
動作不良があったことが判明するという欠点があった。
本発明の目的は、フォーマット動作時におけるＡＭ書込
み動作を監視して、ＡＭ書込み回路に入力される信号が
正常であることを保証し、書込みがされなかったときな
どは不良信号を出力することにより上記欠点を解決し　
システムの信頼性と稼動率を高めるデータ処理装置を提
供することにある。
前記目的を達成するために本発明によるデータ処理装置
は、記録媒体への書込み動作においてデータ間に書込ま
れるギャップ長をカウントする主カウンタ回路および補
助カウンタ回路と、前記主カウンタ回路出力の正否をチ
ェックする主カウンタ回路チェック回路と、前記チェッ
ク回路でエラーが検出されたときセットされるフリップ
フロップと、前記フリップフロップよりセット信号が出
力されていないときは主カウンタ回路出力を通過させて
おり＼　エラーを示す信号が出力されたとき、補助カウ
ンタ回路出力を通過させる論理和回路と、前記論理和回
路の信号ヨリアドレスマークを書込む期間を示す値をデ
コードするデコーダ回路と、前記デコーダ回路出力によ
りアドレスマークを記録媒体上に書込むアドレスマーク
書込み回路と、前記アドレスマーク書込み回路の動作終
了でセットされ、ギャップ処理終了信号時にリセットさ
れる第１ラッチ回路と、ギャップ処理の直前に書込まれ
たデータ部のエラーチェックコード書込み終了時にセッ
トされ、ギャップ処理終了時にリセットされる第２ラッ
チ回路と、前記第１、第２ラッチ回路がセットされてい
る期間に前記アドレス書込み回路が書込み動作を示す信
号を出力したときか、前記第２ラッチ回路がセットされ
ている期間に前記アドレス書込み回路が書込み動作を行
なわなかったときにアドレス書込み不良の信号を出力す
るアドレス書込み不良記憶回路とを含んで構成しである
。
前記構成によれば、両方のカウンタが故障しない限シデ
コーダ回路への入力信号の正常性は保証され、ＡＭ書込
み動作を監視してＡＭが書込まれなかったり、二重に書
込まれた場合はそれを示す信号を出力するので、装置の
信頼性と稼動率は著しく向上し、本発明の目的は完全に
達成される。
以下、図面を参照して本発明をさらに詳しく説明する。
第１図は本発明によるデータ処理装置の一実施例を示す
回路ブロック図、第２図はその動作のタイムチャートで
ある。
本実施例回路は、主カウンタ回路１と補助カウンタ回路
２と主カウンタ回路のチェック回路３と主カウンタのエ
ラー表示を行なうフリップフロップ４と比較−数構出回
路５と論理和回路６とデコーダ回路７とＡＭ書込み回路
８と第１ラッチ回路９と第２ラッチ回路１０とＡＭ書込
み不良記憶回路１１を含む。
カウンタ入力信号は、信号線１００を介して主カウンタ
回路１と補助カウンタ回路２に入力し、カウンタ回路の
カウントパルス信号は信号線１０１を介して主カウンタ
回路１と補助カウンタ回路２に入力する。　主カウンタ
回路２の出力は信号線１０６を介してチェック回路３と
比較−数構出回路５と論理和回路６に入力し、補助カウ
ンタ回路２の出力信号は信号線１０５を介して比較−数
構出回路５と論理和回路６に入力する。
チェック回路３の出力信号は信号線１０７を介してエラ
ー表示を行なうフリップフロップ回路４に入力し、フリ
ップフロップ回路４の正の出力信号と負の出力信号はそ
れぞれ信号線１０８１１０９を介して論理和回路６に入
力する。
論理和回路６の出力信号は信号線１１１を介してデコー
ダ回路７に入力し、デコーダ回路７の出力信号は信号ｍ
１１２を介してＡＭ書込み回路８に入力し、同じく出力
信号は信号線１１３を介してＡＭｉ込み不良記憶回路１
１に入力する。
ＡＭ書込み回路８の出力信号は信号線１１４を介して、
第１ラッチ回路９とＡＭ書込み不良記憶回路１１に入力
する。　カウント部指示信号は信号線１０２を介して第
１ラッチ回路９と第２ラッチ回路１ｏに入力し、５ＹＮ
Ｃ信号１０３は第１ラッチ回路９と第２ラッチ回路１０
に入力し、ギャップ処理開始信号は信号線１０４を介し
て第２ラッチ回路１０に入力する。　第１ラッチ回路９
の正出力信号および負出力信号はそれぞれ信号線１１５
．１１６を介してＡＭ書込み不良回路１１に入力し＼第
２ラッチ回路１０の出力信号は信号線１１７を介してＡ
Ｍ書込み不良回路１１に入力し、ＡＭ書込み不良回路１
１の出力信号は信号線１１８を介してエラーとして報告
される。
まだ、比較−数構出回路５の出力信号は信号線１１０を
介してロギング情報として報告される。
記録媒体上にフォーマットされるとき、第２図に示すよ
うにデータ部の書込みが終了するとエラー訂正コード（
ＥＣＣ）が書込まれ、続いてギャップパターン（ＧＡ、
Ｐ）が書込まれ、ギャップパターンの途中にレコード検
出のだめのＡＭが書込まれ、ＡＭ書込みが終了するとギ
ヤツブカウンタが終了するまでギャップパターンが書込
まれ、カウントが終了すると次のカウント部の５ＹＮＣ
バイトが書込まれるようになっている。
書込み動作において主カウンタ回路１と補助カウンタ回
路２はカウンタ入力信号（信号線１００）によってあら
かじめギャップ長がセットされており、データ部の書込
みが終了しＥＣＣバイト書込みが終了するとギャップ処
理開始信号（信号１１１０４）が発生し、カウント部信
号線１０２がアクティブであると第２ラッチ回路１０が
セットされる。　同時に主カウンタ回路１、補助カウン
タ回路２がカウントパルス（信号線１０１）によってデ
クレメントされる。　主カウンタ回路１はエラーチェッ
ク回路３により常にチェックされる。　エラーチェック
回路３でエラーが検出されないときはエラー表示フリッ
プフロップ回路４はセットされず信号線１０９が１１１
となって主カウンタ回路１の出力が論理和回路６を通っ
て信号線１１１に出力される。
１だ、エラーチェック回路３でエラーが検出されると信
号線１０７が１１１と−ｌｐ、ｘラー表示７１Ｊツブフ
ロツプ４がセットされ正出力信号線１０８が１１１とな
って補助カウンタ回路２の出力信号が論理和回路６を通
って出力信号線１１１に出力される。
つｇ主カウンタ回路１および補助カウンタ回路２の両方
が同時に故障しないかぎシ論理和回路６の信号線１１１
には常に正常に動作しているカウンタの出力が出力され
ているので、デコーダ回路７へ入力する信号は常に正常
であることが保証されている。
主カウンタ回路１の信号、Ｖ＃１０５と補助カウンタ回
路２の信号線１０６の信号は比較−数構出回路５に入力
されて、比較−数構出が行なわれどちらかが故障すると
信号線１１０にはアクティブガ信号が出力され、ロギン
グ情報として報告される。　保証されたデータが入力す
るデコーダ回路７ではＡ、Ｍ書込み位置を示すギヤツブ
カウンタの値がデコードされ、信号線１１２を介してＡ
Ｍ書込み回路８に入力され、記録媒体上に書込まれる。
第１ラッチ回路９はＡＭ書込み終了信号線１１４とカウ
ント部を示す信号線１０２がアクティブのときセットさ
れ、カウント部の最初に書込１れる５ＹＮＣバイト信号
（信号線１ｏ３）でリセットされる。　また、第２ラッ
チ回路順はギャップ処理開始信号線１０４とカウント部
指示信号線１０２がアクティブのときセットされ、５Ｙ
ＮＣバイト信号でリセットされる。
これら２つのラッチ回路９．１０はカウント部書込み動
作でＡＭを書込むときにＡＭ書込み不良を検出するため
に設けられたものである。
つまり、ＡＭは１つだけ存在すべきであるが回路故障の
発生により、ＡＭが２個書込捷れた如全く薔込まれなか
ったりすることを検出するために用意されたものである
。
ＡＭが一度書込まれると第１ラッチ回路９がセットされ
、ＡＭ書込み信号線１１４がアクティブとなったときＡ
Ｍが２個書込まれたことを示しＡＭ書込み不良記憶回路
１１がセットされ信号線１１８がアクティブとなりエラ
ー報告がなされ再処理など回復のだめの処置が施こされ
る。
また第２ラッチ回路１０がギャップ処理開始信号（信号
線１０５）によシセットされ、第１ラッチ回路９がアン
アクティブでギヤツブカウンタのカウントが終了したと
きデコードされる値の出力信号（信号線１１３）が検出
されると、ＡＭが全く書込まれなかったことが検出され
て、ＡＭ書込み不良記憶回路１１がセットされ出力信号
（信号線１１８）が出力されてエラー報告がなされ再処
理など回復のだめの処置が施こされる。
このようにして、カウンタ回路出力信号を常に保証され
た出力信号とし、第１ラッチ回路９、第２ラッチ回路１
０およびＡＭ書込み不良記憶回路１１を追加することに
よってＡＭが正しく書込まれたかどうかを書込み時にチ
ェックし、これによりレコードが正しくフォーマットさ
れたかどうかを監視し、フォーマット動作が正常に続行
されることを可能とし、読出しちるいはレコード検索時
にレコード未検出となることを防止している。
以上詳しく説明したように＼本発明によればカウンタ回
路の二重化と２つのカウンタ回路出力の切替回路とＡＭ
書込み動作のエラー検出を行なう回路構成により両カウ
ンタ回路が故障しない限シフオーマット動作が正常に続
行されることを可能とした、高信頼性で高稼動率のデー
タ処理装置を実現できる。

  1. 記録媒体への書込み動作においてデータ間に書込まれる
    ギャップ長をカウントスル主カウンタ回路および補助カ
    ウンタ回路と、前記主カウンタ回路出力の正否をチェッ
    クする主カウンタ回路チェック回路と、前記チェック回
    路でエラーが検出されたときセットされるフリップフロ
    ップと、前記フリップフロップよりセット信号が出力さ
    れていないときは主カウンタ回路出力を通過させており
    、エラーを示す信号が出力されたとき補助カウンタ回路
    出力を通過させる論理和回路と、−前記論理和回路の信
    号よりアドレスマークを書込む期間を示す値をデコード
    するデコーダ回路と、前記デコーダ回路出力によシアド
    レスマークを記録媒体上に書込むアドレスマーク書込回
    路と、前記アドレスマーク書込回路の動作終了でセット
    され、ギャップ処理終了信号時にリセットされる第１ラ
    ッチ回路と、ギャップ処理の直前に書込まれたデータ部
    のエラーチェックコード書込み終了時にセットされ、ギ
    ャップ処理終了時にリセットされる第２ラッチ回路と、
    前記第１、第２ラッチ回路がセットされている期間に前
