Abstract

PURPOSE:To receive traffic information, by switching a receiving band to an FM band automatically when a traffic information broadcast is started during receiving of band other than the FM band. CONSTITUTION:A detecting circuit 13 detects a signal SK of 57kHz indicating the station executing a traffic information broadcast and a signal DK of 125Hz indicating the start of traffic information. During receiving of an FM band, all switches are connected to the FM side, and a display equipment 15 is operated by the detection of the signal SK to report the traffic information broadcast. During receiving of an MW band, switches are connected to the MW side, and a receiving holding circuit 9 is connected to a local oscillating circuit 5, and an FM band receiving circuit 2 is held in the receivable state. Coming of traffic information is displayed by the detection of the signal SK, and a relay 17 is operated by the detection of the signal DK to switch a switch 19, and thus, the user listens to traffic information.
