Abstract

PURPOSE:To save the power consumption at waiting, by feeding power supply only to the circuit part required for the detection of demodulation of calling signal and feeding power also the communication signal demodulating circuit through the detection of calling signal. CONSTITUTION:During the waiting period of the reception unit 6, the output of the high frequency amplifier 8 is connected to the detector 19 via the selection relay switch 18a, and the power supply 15 is connected to only the calling signal demodulation detection circuit consisting of the detector 19, low frequency amplifier 20 and calling signal detector 21 via the relay switch 18b. When calling signal is detected at the detector 21, the relay 18 is operated, the relay switches 18a, 18b are selected, the output of the high frequency amplifier 8 is fed to the mixer 9 and the voltage of the power supply 15 is fed to the mixer 9, local oscillator 10 and demodulator 11. Thus, the power consumption during waiting can remarkably be saved.
