Abstract

PURPOSE: To make it possible to select automatically another channel when a channel in reception weakens in electric-field intensity, by providing a radio receiver with an automatic channel selection start switch, local oscillation frequency sweep unit, trigger signal detection circuit, and timer circuit.
CONSTITUTION: Local oscillation frequency sweep unit 22 is driven by operating automatic channel selection start switch 21 to sweep local oscillation 13 and when one frequency is received and the level of intermediate frequency amplifier 15 exceeds a fixed value, trigger signal detection circuit 23 detects the state and supplies its detection signal to unit 22. Unit 22 stops sweeping by level "L" of the signal, so that an excellent reception state can be obtained. When magnetic-field intensity lowers to a level circuit 23 can not detect, the detection signal becomes "H" in level and count operation of timer circuit 32 is started.
