Abstract

PURPOSE: To make it possible to receive waves with a low threshold level, by widening first the pass band width of the intermediate frequency filter of a superheterodyne receiver and by making the width above into a narrow band after the control of a local oscillation frequency.
CONSTITUTION: The receiving wave from antenna 1 is mixed with the local oscillation signal from local oscillator 3 in mixer 2 to obtain the intermediate frequency signal, and this signal is supplied to switch 11. When the receiving wave comes first, switches 11 and 12 select filter 13, whose pass band width is wider than that of filter 14, as the intermediate frequency filter by the control part, and the wave passes through filter 13 and is amplified by intermediate frequency amplifier 6 and is supplied to receiver 9 through frequency discriminator 7 and low-frequency amplifier 8. Control part 10 extracts DC components from the output of frequency discriminator 7 and corrects the frequency of local oscillator 3 so that the receiving wave may be the center of the intermediate filter, and control part 10 switches switches 11 and 12 to select filter 14 as the intermidiate frequency filter after the receiving wave becomes the center of the intermediate filter, so that waves can be received with a low threshold level.
