Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve the quality of a copied image, by deviating an AC bias potential, applied to a magnetic brush sleeve, by a DC component. CONSTITUTION:A single AC power source A and DC power sources D1, D2- are connected together in series, and between the DC power sources and to one terminal, magnetic brush sleeves S1, S2- are connected. Therefore, the sleeve S1 is applied with a current obtained by superposing a high-frequency alternating current from the power source A and a direct current from the power source D1 to each other, and a high-frequency AC bias potential is deviated by the DC component. Similarly, the sleeve S2 is applied with a bias voltage deviated by DC potentials from the power sources D1 and D2. Further, the DC deviation component of an AC potential applied to each sleeve is different from one another.
