PURPOSE:To accurately control the speed of a motor in a range from low speed zone to high speed zone by providing a speed monitoring circuit for accurately monitoring and correcting the speed value in a speed control system and a matching filter for simulating the responding characteristics of the system. CONSTITUTION:A speed command from a reference speed command arithmetic circuit 1 is first applied to the speed control circuit 2 of a speed control system 11 through a D/A converter 12. On the other hand, the speed command from the circuit 2 is delayed by the time meeting the responding characteristic of the system 11 through a matching filter 10, a simulation speed signal is thus inputted to a speed monitoring circuit 9, and is compared with a speed detection signal from a counter 7 for counting the pulse train from a pulse generator 6 for the prescribed period of time, and the correction signal from the circuit 9 is so outputted to the circuit 2 through a D/A converter 8 as to set the compared value to zero. In this manner, the controlling accuracy of the system 11 is improved by a digital monitor loop 13, and the responding characteristic is not deteriorated in the followup for the variation in the speed command.
