Abstract

PURPOSE: To achieve highly accurate temperature setting of a heat accumulating material, by providing a bellows such that it is communicated to a heat accumulating container that is heated by a heater, and opening and closing a thermally actuated unit through expansion and contraction of the bellows that is caused by volumetric change of the heat accumulating material resulting from the temperature change of the same.
CONSTITUTION: A heat accumulating material 3 is filled in an enclosed container 2 having a heater 1 at its bottom, and a bellows 4 is provided by the side of the enclosed container 2 in the manner that it is communicated to the inside of the container 2. Downwardly of the bellows 4, a thermally actuated unit 5 is fixed to the container 2 by means of a support rod 6. The unit 5 has a return spring 7 which opens and closes a contact 9 in response to the displacement of a push pipe 8 attached to the top of the bellows 4, and a set temperature adjusting screw 11 is provided at the portion of an insulator 10 of the unit 5. With such an arrangement, when the temperature of the heat accumulating material 3 is lower than a set temperature, the contact 9 is closed to supply current to the heater 1. On the other hand, when the material 3 is heated to the set temperature, bellows 4 is moved in a direction A shown in the drawing, so that the contact 9 is opened by the function of the return spring 7.
