Abstract

PURPOSE: To solidify firmly the ground without making underground water alkaline, by adding water glass to an aq. soln. of an acidic reactant, mixing the resulting aq. soln. of acidic silicic acid with a cement suspension, and injecting the mixture into the ground.
CONSTITUTION: An acidic reactant 1' such as sulfuric acid and water 1" are introduced through pipes 6', 6" into a mixing vessel 2 to prepare an aq. soln. of the acidic reactant. Then water glass 1 is passed through pipe 6, jetted through the jetting holes 8 of a jetting device 7 into the vessel 2, and mixed with the aq. soln. of the acidic reactant by rotating an agitating blade 9. During the mixing, a pH change is detected by a detector 4, and transmitted to a controller 5. At a required point where the pH is 5 or below, the supply of water glass 1 is suspended to form an aq. soln. of acidic silicic acid. The aq. soln. of acidic silicic acid is passed through a transporting mechanism II and mixed with a cement suspension at an arbitrary stage. The mixture is injected through an injecting mechanism III into soft ground or ground where water leaks out.
EFFECT: The compsn. is excellent in penetration into the ground.
