Abstract
PURPOSE:To assign time slot automatically only to a loaded line, by providing an ROM which takes the information of input address whether a board is mounted or not and outputs to the board where the time slot is to be assigned. CONSTITUTION:Three boards 12a, 12b, 12c are loaded and a board 12c is loaded at the end. A scanning counter 1 outputs a 2-bit signal from output lines 3 and 2 every time when the counter 1 counts four clocks, and transmits signals of 1-4 to the lower 2-bit of an ROM16. Input lines (a)-(d) of the upper rank of the ROM16 are grounded by inserting corresponding board, and connected to the power supply when no board is inserted. When the board 12c is not loaded, inputs are made as 0, 0, 1, 0, X, X from the upper rank to the input terminal of the ROM16. The output of the ROM16 is decoded and the time slot is assigned by the number of loaded times.
