Abstract
PURPOSE:To manufacture an optical cable so that only a slackened portion is elongated and elongation exceeding the tolerance is not generated in an optical fiber when the optical fiber has been drawn, by SZ-twisting it by a reverse pitch by which draw-out tension of the optical fiber becomes equal to allowable tension. CONSTITUTION:When allowable tension for generating maximum elongation allowed to an optical fiber 14 is made T, and draw-out tension required for drawint out one optical fiber 14 from an optical cable 10 prepared by twisting the optical fiber 14 in one direction is made F, length L of the optical cable 10, by which this draw-out tension F becomes equal to said allowable tension T is derived.
