PURPOSE:To facilitate the manufacture of a leaf spring of fiber-reinforced plastic, by cylindrically expanding the end of the leaf spring and providing a leaf spring support member with a partly-open support portion for supporting the cylindrical end of the leaf spring rotatably. CONSTITUTION:The end 5a of a leaf spring 5 made of fiber-reinforced plastic is cylindrically expanded by integral shaping. A support member 6 for supporting the cylindrical end 5a is provided with a partly-open support portion 6a, in which the end 5a is fitted so that it is rotatably supported. The open part 6b of the support portion 6a is made considerably narrower than the diameter of the cylindrical end 5a of the leaf spring 5 to prevent it from going out through the open part. The open part 6b is sectorially open to enable the leaf spring 5 to swing relative to the support member 6.
