Abstract

PURPOSE: To gradually reduce the consumption of compressed air in a jet deburring process of molded articles having burr in portions contacted with a metal by continuously deburring the molded articles through a liquid honing process after the molded articles are treated by an electrolytically stripping process with the molded article serving as a cathode.
CONSTITUTION: Article to be treated are conveyed one after another by an endless chain 1 into an electrolytic bathIcontaining therein an electrolytic solution consisting of sodium hydroxide solution (for example 30 to 45g/l) heated at 70°C. The electrolytic conditions are for example, such that the articles to be treated serves as cathodes using a power source of 6 DC volt., electrical current density =5A/100cm2, and electrolyzing time =60sec. The articles which are electrolytically stripped under such conditions, are then treated in a fluid honing device II, thereby to deburr the articles with high efficiency.
