Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a torsion piezoelectric transformer with a high transforming rate and high boosting by providing a driving electrode and an output electrode separately on the upper side and the lower side of a porcelain piezo electro- magnetic plate made of the two plates glued together and each polarized in opposing direction along the width. CONSTITUTION:Two piezo electro-magnetic plates 20, 20', each polarized in opposing direction along the width the bonded together 21. Driving electrodes 22, 22' and 23, 23' are formed with the bonded layer in between. When 22, 22' and 23, 23' are short-circuited and driven by terminals 24, 24', the magnetic plates are each excited in thickness slip vibration in opposing directions and converted to torsion vibration. When electrodes 25, 25' and 26, 26', provided on the magnetic plate apart from the driving electrodes, are short-circuited, thickness slip vibration propagates to output terminals 27, 27'. In this way, the power with the boosting ratio more than 50 and the same power transferring property is obtained even though the size thereof is smaller.
