Abstract
PURPOSE:To make it possible to obtain a piezoelectric electroacoustic converter of high power by employing a multilayered structure by providing piezoelectric films, differing in polarity, by turns and also to make it possible to form the thin and compact unit on a sound generator in a random shape by providing films in the sputtering method. CONSTITUTION:Between electrodes 1 and 2, piezoelectric films 3 and 4 differing in polarity are stacked by turns. Sound generator 5 is vibrated by piezoelectric films 3 and 4 to generate sound pressure. As a voltage is applied between electrodes 1 and 2 via lead wires 6 and 7, piezoelectric films 3 and 4 differing in polarity are applied with electric fields in the opposite directions mutually, so that generated strains will be equal in polarity. For this purpose, piezoelectric films 3 and 4 are stacked into a random lamination, so that large driving force can be obtained. Further, zinc oxide films used as piezoelectric films are oriented in the high-frequency magnetron sputtering method in a mixture atmosphere of argon and oxygen.
