Abstract
PURPOSE:To reduce the deterioration in characteristics even at a high speed driving and high repetition by providing a magnetic field generator operating in the polarizing direction of a piezoelectric material having a predetermined composition and forming an electrode at the material. CONSTITUTION:A piezoelectric material is made of a composition (Pb1-xTmx)(Zr1-yTiy)O3, [where x=0.006-0.098. y=0.46-0.48]. The material 1 and an inner electrode 2 are alternately laminated, and an insulating protective film 3 is provided at every other layer. They are so assembled as to be mechanically in series and electrically in parallel, external electrodes 4 are attached, insulating layers 5, 6 are attached to both end faces of a piezoelectric material 1 laminated simultaneously, a magnet 7 is so disposed from both sides together with a base 8 as to preferentially apply a magnetic field in a direction perpendicular to the polarizing direction of the material 1. As a result, a spin-orbit state specified in the initial polarizing direction is maintained.
