Abstract

PURPOSE:To achieve reproduction without wave interference error and SN ratio deterioration error, by equalizing the output equalized with the 1st equalizer further with the 2nd equalizer, in reproducing recorded digital signals. CONSTITUTION:A digital signal reproduced from a magnetic tape 1 via a head 2 is amplified 3 and inputted to an equalizer 4. The output of the equalizer 4 is inputted to a differentiation device 6 and an equalizer 14 via an LPF5. The output of the device 6 is inputted to an AND gate circuit 10 via a zero cross detector 7. The output of the equalizer 14 is inputted to a voltage comparator 8 and compared with the reference voltage at an input terminal 9 and given to the circuit 10. The output of the circuit 10 activates an FF11 and the recorded waveform is restored. The waveform equalization of the equalizer 4 is suppressed lower to keep the specified S/N ratio and the input to the comparator 8 is increased for the equalization of waveform to keep high threshold level. With this constitution, accurate signal reproduction can be achieved.
