Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce the reading error caused by the track position of the large-capacity record by varying the delay amount of the pulse narrow equalizer of the demodulation system in accordance with the position of the magnetic head. CONSTITUTION:The control is given to the gain/loss amount of gain and loss output 7 and 9 each to reproduction reading output 8 and via delay circuit 6 of the pulse narrow equalizer. Then the pulse narrow equalizing is given satisfactorily for the demodulated signals through amplifiers 13, 15 and 14 of the pulse narrow equalizer plus composite amplifier 16 and others and regardless of the tracks featuring the different head floating amount, the anti-head relative speed, the record density and other factors. Thus the good demodulation reading signal is generated via integration detecting circuit 18. As a result, the reading error due to the track position of the large-capacity digital record can be reduced.
