Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a format high in error correction ability and possible of overdamping, by recording each voice channel and redundant signal section on a multitrack different from a track and rerecording the track and the redundant signal section at overdamping. CONSTITUTION:Each voice channel being converted in PCM is recorded on heads 2-1... of the magnetic tape with the multitrack. At the same time, the error correction redundant signal formed from each voice channel is recorded on separate tracks 5-1 and 5-2 and the like. Further, in the case of overdamp a part of the recording on the tracks 2-2 and the like, the tracks 5-1, 5-2 are recorded again with the recording from the recorded-side digital circuit of the track to the track 2-2, and new error correction redundant signal section formed with the signal reproduced from the tracks 2-1- other than the track 2-2. Thus, the stable PCM recorder and reproducer of high error correction ability and of a correctable system possible of overdamping, is obtained.
