Abstract
PURPOSE: To improve overall heat-exchanging efficiency of a plant as a whole, by using a damper-equipped bypassing passage for connection between an outside air duct and a waste gas duct of the titled rotor type heat exchanger consisting mainly of gas-absorbing sheets.
CONSTITUTION: By turning of a rotor 5 of an overall heat exchanger for deodorization and sterilization, outside air OA and indoor air RA are made to flow in the direction of the arrow toward small holes 4 of the rotor 5 through an outside air duct 10 and an air-returning duct 12, respectively, to allow heat exchange to take place between OA and RA, and outside air OA is deprived of humidity and injurious gas by a gas-absorbing material of the rotor 5 at air- entering zone and enters a room. The indoor air RA is also deprived of humidity and injurious gas by the gas-absorbing material at air-discharging zone and discharged to outside. At this time, by making adjustments of dampers 16 and 17, a part of the exhausted air EA is mixed with entering outside air OA to be re- utilized as fresh air SA. It is possible, by using this mechanism, to improve overall heat exchanging efficiency of a plant.
