Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain an air conditioner which is capable of utilizing the heat of the open air and which has an improved ventilating capacity by a method wherein a first heat exchanger between return air and feed air and a second heat exchanger between the open air and exhaust air are connected to each other through a movable damper and the return air and the open air are supplied to both of the heat exchangers in inverse proportion to each other.
CONSTITUTION: A first heat exchange route A and a second heat exchange route B are established such that the former starts from a point (b) of the movable damper 3 and terminates with an air feed port 30 via a filter 4, a blower 5 and the first heat exchanger 6 while the latter starts from a point (d) of the movable damper 3 and terminates with an exhaust port 31 via a filter 9, a blower 10 and the second heat exchanger 11. In addition, the damper 3 is so constructed that the return air distribution ratio between the points (a) to (b) and the points (a) and (d) is determined to be y/x while that between the points (c) to (d) and the points (c) to (b) is determined to be x/y. Accordingly, the distribution ratio of the return air and that of the open air for the heat exchangers 6 and 11 are always in inverse proportion to each other. Thus, with the above structure, if the damper 3 is controlled in consideration of the relationship between the room temperature or humidity and the open air temperature or humidity in the intermediate seasons, i.e. spring and autumn, the utilization of the open air as a heat source and the ventilation of the room will be performed to a sufficient degree.
