Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain the effective open-type air conditioner by a method wherein rotary filter type humidifiers, the filter of which is made of excellent air-premeable material and yet the permeated air flow through the filter and the rotating speed of the filter of which are suitably set, are employed as an indoor humidifier and an outdoor humidifier respectively.
CONSTITUTION: The open-type air conditioner consists of three air flow passages as follows: an indoor air flow passage I in which the indoor air is led from an indoor air intake port RA through the processing zone (a) of a rotary latent heat exchanger 2, the processing zone (c) of a rotary sensible heat exchanger 3 and the humidifier 4 to an indoor discharge port, a regenerative air flow passage III in which the regenerative air is led from a regenerative heat source 9 through the regenerating zone (b) of the heat exchanger 2 to a regenerative discharge port, and an outdoor air flow passage II in which the outdoor air is led from an outdoor air intake port through the humidifier 5 and the outdoor zone (d) of the heat exchanger 3 to an outdoor discharge port. In the air conditioner having the air flow passages as described above, the humidifiers 4 and 5 are of rotary type constituting of excellent air-permeable nylon filter, having the filtering area which allows the passing air velocity through the filter part to be 1.0W2.0m/s and the rotating speed of the filter of the humidifier 5 of above 1.5rpm.
