PURPOSE:To enhance both the photosensitivity and physical strength of a receptor by forming a photoconductive layer contg. photoconductive particles and a saponification product of an ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer having a specified degree of saponification or above. CONSTITUTION:A saponification product of an ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer having >=60% degree of saponification s dissolved in a mixed solvent of water and alcohol, and photoconductive particles are dispersed in the soln. optionally together with additive such as a sensitizer to prepare a coating liq. By applying this coating liq. to an electrically conductive support, a photoconductive layer is formed to obtain a receptor having solvent resistance, high physical strength and high printing resistance and giving a superior image free from ground stain.
