Abstract

PURPOSE: To suppress the generation of NOX by a reductive combustion by a composite multi-stage combustion system in which a fuel and air are alternately supplied toward the peripheral side or the rear stream side from the center of the frontal wall.
CONSTITUTION: Primary fuel is supplied through a primary fuel suply nozzle 5 into a burner opening 4 and also primary air is supplied through a primary air supply port 7 in order to form a primary combustion zone 13 of a low air ratio. Also, secondary air is supplied through a secondary air supply port 9 into the furnace to form a slow secondary combustion zone 14 of a high air ratio on the rear stream side of the primary combustion zone 13. And, the dilute gas of secondary fuel is supplied through the secondary fuel supply nozzle 10 into the furnace to form a slow third combustion zone 15 of a low oxygen ratio on the periphery of the secondary combustion zone 14, and third air is further supplied through a third air supply port 11 into the furnace to burn the unburned part of the secondary fuel and decomposition products.
