Abstract
PURPOSE:To perform an efficient reduction of a content of NOx by a method wherein the air subsequent to the secondary step in multi-stage combustion boiler is introduced into the combustion flame as a plurality of flows directed thereinto and then a swirling flow of air is generated in the cross sectional part of the combustion flame. CONSTITUTION:A multi-stage combustion boiler is provided with a barner 1 at the front surface of a combustion chamber 2, then a central part of the burner 1 is provided with a burner gun 3. Then, the combustion air is distributed from a blower 13 into the primary and secondary airs 5 and 6, each of them is fed to the combustion chamber 2, respectively. For example, the secondary air 6 is divided into upper and lower two flows, and they are fed into the combustion flame from the circumference of the secondary combustion area 4b of the combustion flame injected from the burner gun 3 so as to generate a swirling flow in the cross section of the combustion flame. Thereby, the feed of the secondary air 6 is made uniformly, and the secondary air 6 is sufficiently fed into the incomplete combustion zone of the combustion flame so as to decrease a content of NOx.
