PURPOSE:To make the temperature of the outlet fluid from a wet type cooling tower constant, by providing movable blades in the air inlet part of the cooling tower and by measuring the temperature of the outlet fluid by a temperature detector to control movable blades. CONSTITUTION:The temperature of the fluid in the outlet of a wet cooling tower is measured by a temperature detector 9 and is compared with a set value of the outlet fluid temperature. If the measured temperature is higher than the set value, movable blades 8 are controlled at such angle by a control 10 that the quantity of charging of the external air is increased, and the quantity of heat exchange in packing materials is increased to the temperature of the outlet fluid; and if the measured temperature is lower than the set value, movable blades 8 are controlled as such angle that the quantity of charging of the external air is reduced, and the quantity of head exchange in packing materials is reduced to lower the temperature of the outlet fluid. Thus, the temperature of the fluid in the outlet of the cooling tower is held constant.
