Abstract
PURPOSE: To minimize the fluid leak from the sliding surface of a sliding member of a switching valve by having the opening of switching passage of the sliding member come in direct contact with the inner wall of the valve body thereby improving the air-tightness.
CONSTITUTION: Enclosed spaces 7 and 8 are formed by piston seal members 5 and 6, covers 2 and 3 and a valve body 1, and two L-shaped passages 9 and 10 are provided at about the center of a sliding member 4 with their openings facing opposite directions, said openings of the L-shaped passages 9 and 10 being in direct contact with the inner wall surface of the valve body 1 to maintain air-tightness. Thus the air-tightness at the sliding surface is improved to minimize the fluid leak from the sliding surface of the sliding member 4.
