Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable to select an optimal port opening and closing timing for each of an injection port and a release port of a rotary compressor and to increase the capacity varying rate of the compressor, by forming the injection port and release port separately and independently from each other.
CONSTITUTION: In a rotary compressor having an injection port and a release port formed therein, the injection port 17 is formed at the portion of a bearing 18 of the compressor and the release port 19 is formed in the inner wall surface of a cylinder 11. By thus forming the injection port 17 and release port 19 separately and independently from each other, it is enabled to select an optimal port opening and closing timing for each of the two ports 17, 19 to meet with the characteristics of respective ports 17, 19.
