Abstract

PURPOSE: To raise the efficiency of dust collecting operation, by collecting dust contained in gas to be cleaned by granulating crushed coal being used as fuel.
CONSTITUTION: Coal a is crushed finely into proper grain sizes by means of a crusher 4. Crushed coal having grain sizes greater than a certain value b1 and one having grain sizes smaller than that are separated from each other by a separator 5, and they are sent to a drier 6 seprately. Then, crushed coal b1 having larger grain sizes is carried into a first dust collecting tank 11 of a dust collecting apparatus 7 via a first crushed-coal inlet port 9, while crushed coal b2 having smaller grain sizes is carried into a second dust collecting tank 12 via a second crushed-coal inlet port 10. On the other hand, dust containing gas C1 is introduced into the first and the second dust collecting tanks 11, 12 from a dust containing gas inlet 15 and passed through the layers of crushed coal b1, b2, and clean gas C2 thus obtained is supplied from an outlet port 16 to a gas turbine system (not shown). Further, crushed coal d1, d2 containing dust therein is carried into a gasifying furnace 18 via a dust separator 17 and used as fuel to be gasified. With such an arrangement, it is enabled to collect dust efficiently in an inexpensive manner.
