Abstract
PURPOSE:To reduce leaking clock components, by driving the horizontal scanning circuit with clock pulses of two phases whose leading section and trailing section overlap each other. CONSTITUTION:Original oscillating pulses (a) delivered from an original oscillating circuit 21 are supplied to pulse width variable circuits 22 and 23. Output signals (b) of the circuit 22 are supplied to a terminal 12. Output signals of the circuit 23 are supplied to a phase shifting circuit 24 and then supplied to another terminal 13 after their phase is changed by 180 deg.. In this case, it is arranged that the leading section and the trailing section of the signals supplied to the terminals 12 and 13 overlap each other, and, at the same time, a horizontal scanning circuit of this solid image pickup device is driven by these overlapping signals. Since leaking components of the overlapped parts of these signals 12 and 13 have opposite poralities, the leaking components can be erased.
