Abstract

PURPOSE:To make excellent compensation, by executing readout so that the phase of a subcarrier signal cincides, in reading out a color video signal before one field from a memory and replacing it with an input color video signal to be compensated. CONSTITUTION:After an analog color video signal applied to an input terminal 2 is converted into a digital coded signal at an A-D converter 3, it is stored in a frame memory 1 via a switching replacement circuit 4, shift register 5, and latch circuit 6. A signal read out from the frame memory 1 is given to an output terminal 24 via a latch circuit 21, shift register 22 and D-A converter 23. A color video signal before one field shifted by 1H at an odd number field and an even number field is read out so that the phase of the subcarrier of the input color video signal coincides in the frame memory 1 and replaced with the input color signal to be compensated.
